We are ten days away from Cyberpunk 2077, and it’s starting to feel a little bit like Christmas. There’s an excitement in the air that we usually reserve for Saint Nick’s arrival, only this time Santa is strapped with twin 10mm pistols and a cyberarm that can crush a boulder.
Gamers are also getting excited regardless of what fandom they come from. Here we have a Zelda fan showing the world what a Cyberpunk Street Kid version of Link would look like, and below we have a version of Cyberpunk done to look like World of Warcraft.
Only this is a bit more involved than most fan tributes. WoW machinima maker Duren spent a long time painstakingly recreating the original 2018 E3 trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 scene-for-scene using nothing but World of Warcraft assets. And the results are absolutely amazing.
Although much of this Warcraft/Cyberpunk crossover seems more steampunk than cyberpunk, we gotta say that what Duren's done here is astounding. Every single scene is here, from V looking out at Night City from a subway window to some random punks beating someone up at a gas station.
So far, we haven’t seen any better love letter to Cyberpunk than this one, but there are still 9 more days left to try.
