Night City might be a futuristic place, but the homage to the Wild West is positively tangible. Cyberpunk 2077 made sure to include cowboy boots, hats, leather, rusty metal, classic tattoos, scars, swagger, and every other kind of thing to remind you that this environment of lawlessness is what the Old West was all about.

Cyberpunk 2077: All Iconic Smart Weapons, Ranked And How To Get Them
Smart weapons are a huge help when taking down some of Night City's most dangerous. Here's how every unique one in the game ranks.

Oh, and revolvers! Don't forget about the revolvers! Whether you're ready to duel a cyberpsycho one-on-one or need to fire off six rounds into a posse of enemies, these guns don't just fit the genre, they work really well in combat, giving you the firing rate of a pistol with the damage of a shotgun. And these iconic shooters are the best of the best.

Updated October 30, 2023, by Sean Murray: The release of Phantom Liberty and the 2.0 update has changed up Cyberpunk's revolvers significantly. We've updated this list with the newcomers and swapped some of these revolvers around based on changes made with Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 update.

12 Bald Eagle

Cyberpunk 2077 Bald Eagle

Weapon Type

Power

Base Weapon

Techtronika Metel

Iconic Effect

Shooting an enemy's leg that had previously been struck by Fang causes dismemberment, returns Fang to the player.

Location

Dropped by Kurt Hansen during the "Firestarter" main job.

On its own, Bald Eagle is just a Techtronika Metel, but when combined with Fang, Kurt Hansen's traditional Yakut hunting knife, Bald Eagle becomes something a bit more potent. Throw Fang into some poor choom's leg, then whip out Bald Eagle to blow that leg clean off.

It's a two-step process that--while effective--could be more easily performed by a single weapon. For example, Bloody Maria is a shotgun that loves to tear enemies limb from limb without requiring you to toss a knife into their legs first.

If you want to cosplay as Kurt Hansen, then by all means use Bald Eagle and Fang. If you want to be efficient, there are better revolvers on this list.

11 Rosco

Cyberpunk 2077 Rosco

Weapon Type

Power

Base Weapon

Malorian Arms Overture

Iconic Effect

Shooting an enemy in the leg and then the head is a guaranteed kill. Enemies on the ground always take crit damage, which is increased by 50 percent.

Location

Dropped by Dodger during the "Waiting for Dodger" gig.

Rosco does what Bald Eagle does but with a single weapon. Just shoot your enemy in the leg first before popping them in the head for a guaranteed kill. It takes a little while to get used to Rosco's gunplay, but there's no denying this weapon's effectiveness--especially against high-threat enemies.

For regular gonks, you can use one of the revolvers higher up on this list as they'll typically die to a well-placed headshot. Save Rosco for scarier fights.

10 Doom Doom

Doom Doom Cyberpunk 2077

Weapon Type

Power

Base Weapon

DR5 Nova

Iconic Effect

Fires four rounds per shot, increased damage, rate of fire, recoil, and bullet spread, chance to dismember targets

Location

Dropped by Dum Dum during mission "Second Conflict" if killed or incapacitated

Most guns can apply bleed effects, but odds are that most enemies die before it ever becomes an issue. This gun fixes that by firing four rounds at once.

The increased recoil is not appreciated, but four bullets for the price of one trigger squeeze is highly effective in close-quarters combat. It's essentially a handheld shotgun--provided you can keep your aim steady.

Keep in mind, Doom Doom is only obtainable if you left Dum Dum alive during "The Pickup." If you killed him along with Royce in a shootout with Maelstrom, Dum Dum won't be there.

9 Taigan

Cyberpunk 2077 Taiga

Weapon Type

Power

Base Weapon

Techtronika Metel

Iconic Effect

Chance to inflict burn. Burning enemies always take crit damage. The more enemies affected by this burn, the more crit damage is dealt, but at the cost of accuracy.

Location

Airdrop at Capitán Caliente in Dogtown.

Taigan and Laika share the same iconic effect: the more people you set on fire with this weapon, the more damaging your guaranteed crits will be. The downside to the Taigan is that this gun loses accuracy the more gonks you set on fire.

It's a small downside, but it's significant and annoying if you really like Taigan's burn effect. You may be better off with Laika if you find your aim really suffering.

8 Gris-Gris

Cyberpunk 2077 Gris Gris

Weapon Type

Tech

Base Weapon

DR-12 Quasar

Iconic Effect

Each round has a five-percent chance to upload a random quick hack to the target. Stronger quickhacks have a smaller chance. Reload time increased by 10 percent.

Location

Found in Slider's hideout during the main job "The Damned." Requires Slider's key, which is found during the gig "Treating Symptoms."

The Quasar is already a very powerful revolver that performs more like a submachine gun. Gris-Gris merely adds to the fun by uploading a random quickhack to whatever it is you're shooting at.

Of course, the likelihood of your target surviving for your quickhack to load is relatively small. Also, the usefulness of that quickhack will vary widely thanks to RNG. But it's never a bad thing to quickhack your opponents, so Gris-Gris is just a better Quasar.

It's possible to miss your chance to get Gris-Gris during "The Damned" if you haven't already completed the "Treating Symptoms" gig. Slider's key must be found during the gig in order to open the door to Slider's hideout in "The Damned." You won't be able to re-enter Slider's hideout afterward.

7 Laika

Cyberpunk 2077 Laika

Weapon Type

Tech

Base Weapon

RT-46 Burya

Iconic Effect

Chance to inflict burn. Burning enemies always take crit damage. The more enemies affected by this burn, the more crit damage is dealt.

Location

Los Osos air drop in Dogtown.

If you're looking for the slightly more relaxed Burya Iconic revolver, Laika offers a burn status that provides guaranteed criticals. The more enemies you light on fire, the bigger those critical hits get.

The problem is the Burya deals a lot of damage already, so random gonks aren't likely to survive a headshot to offer up that increased crit damage. Try aiming for the body with Laika and save your headshots for priority targets.

6 Ol' Reliable

Cyberpunk 2077 Ol' Reliable

Weapon Type

Power

Base Weapon

Malorian Arms Overture

Iconic Effect

Swapping to this weapon greatly increased headshot damage and range. Increased headshot crit chance the further you are from the target.

Location

Drops from Dante during the side job "Shot By Both Sides."

There are two reasons to use a revolver in Cyberpunk 2077. The first is because you appreciate the stopping power that only a revolver can provide. The second is because you're trying to make Cyberpunk the Red Dead Redemption 2 sequel you always wanted.

Combine Crash with Ol' Reliable to become the ultimate cyberpunk cowpoke. Swap to Ol' Reliable at the start of a fight, blast a high-threat target's dome, and then swap to Crash to fan the hammer and every gonk in the room. All you need is a cowboy.

5 Comrade's Hammer

Comrade's Hammer Cyberpunk 2077

Weapon Type

Tech

Base Weapon

RT-46 Burya

Iconic Effect

Fires an explosive round with 260 percent increased damage, a 30 percent chance to inflict burn, and 50 percent increased crit damage. Quick melee attacks automatically reload. Magazine size reduced to a single round and reload time increased by 20 percent.

Location

Loot spec from leader of "Suspected Organize Crime Activity in Arroyo."

The new-and-improved Comrade's Hammer has been given some usability buffs thanks to Cyberpunk's 2.0 update. The gun now deals less damage to yourself, and you can get around its exceptionally long reload by bashing a poor gonk's head in. This will automatically chamber a new round to wreak utter destruction.

When combined with the new Pyromania perks in the Tech perk tree, Comrade's Hammer is a force to be reckoned with.

4 Amnesty

Amnesty Cyberpunk 2077

Weapon Type

Power

Base Weapon

Malorian Arms Overture

Iconic Effect

60% increased fire rate, 20% decreased reload speed, 65% decreased bullet spread, 50% decreased aim-down-sight time, 50% reduced recoil, and 25% increased range

Location

Obtained from Cassidy Righter during mission "We Gotta Live Together," complete the bottle shooting challenge

If you hate revolvers, but you really want all the benefits of a revolver (high damage, crit, and headshot bonuses), then look no further. There's nothing too fancy about the Amnesty, but its Iconic effect makes it far more usable than every other revolver.

By eliminating the biggest drawback of the revolver--the recoil--you might find this suits you better than the others. Even if you can aim just fine, the increased damage is noticeable when you score a one-hit-kill headshot.

Unfortunately, Amnesty is only obtainable right near the end of the game, so don't expect to use this revolver for much of your playthrough.

3 Archangel

Archangel Cyberpunk 2077

Weapon Type

Power

Base Weapon

Malorian Arms Overture

Iconic Effect

Deals electrical damage, 15% chance to shock, 40% reduced recoil

Location

Obtained from Kerry Eurodyne after mission "A Like Supreme"

Here's another gun that thankfully reduces that problematic recoil. With 40 percent less recoil, Archangel is easy to keep on target, and the electrical shock can keep high-health foes incapacitated while you keep firing round after round.

You can also get Archangel way earlier than Amnesty, making it a great choice for revolver fans throughout the game. You just can't go wrong with this gun.

2 Mancinella

Cyberpunk 2077 Mancinella

Weapon Type

Power

Base Weapon

DR5 Nova

Iconic Effect

Headshots have a 33 percent chance of applying poison. After being detected, your stealth damage bonus of 250 percent is retained for three seconds. Increased range by 50 percent, but cannot ricochet rounds. Equipped with a silencer.

Location

Given to V by Mr. Hands at the beginning of the side job "Run This Town."

Revolvers can no longer mount silencers as of Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 update, so Mancinella's built-in silencer makes this a unique weapon. Better still, you retain that 250 percent damage bonus for several seconds after being detected, giving you plenty of time to plink a few more heads before it's time to swap to a more explosive combat option.

The poison is almost superfluous as most enemies will drop after a well-placed headshot, but it can prove useful to higher-tier enemies and bosses for an added damage-over-time effect. All in all, Mancinella is quite deadly.

1 Crash

Crash Cyberpunk 2077

Weapon Type

Power

Base Weapon

Malorian Arms Overture

Iconic Effect

Automatic fire while aiming down sights, 40% reduced recoil, 50% decreased bullet spread, 20% decreased fire rate

Location

Obtained from River Ward during mission "Following the River"

Crash's Iconic effect isn't quite like fanning the hammer in an old-timey cowboy film, but it's close. Just aim down the sights, hold the fire button down, and turn this revolver into a fully automatic death dealer.

Firing from the hip is slightly improved by reduced recoil and bullet spread, but a slower fire rate means it's less useful for up-close situations. Always fire while aiming down the sights.

Combine Crash with a good sight and the Wild West perk, and you've got yourself a fully automatic pocket sniper.
