We've known for a while now that players would have the option to play as either a male or female player character V in Cyberpunk 2077. Yet, most of the images we've seen have focused on the male version of V. However, the female version of V has become a lot more prominent now that she will appear on a reversible cover for the box art of Cyberpunk 2077.

While many honored International Women's Day in their own ways on March 8, Cyberpunk 2077's official Twitter page did so by revealing the reversible box art.

When commenters began asking about the possibility that this was a form of reversible box art, Cyberpunk 2077's page tweeted the following:

Similar to the Cyberpunk 2077 box art of the male V, female V can be seen looking to the side holding a gun. Presumably, she's ready for action. Palm trees and skyscrapers litter the yellow-colored background.

It may be identical to the previous box art seen for the game, but this box art is equally as cool. Moreover, it is great that the designers of Cyberpunk 2077's box art are keenly aware of diverse group of fans ready to jump in to the world of Cyberpunk 2077.

As for all other things Cybeprunk 2077, the game is shaping up to be one of the year's biggest hits. Releasing in what is projected to be the last big year for current-gen consoles, the game may well be the last cross-platform swan song for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

However, CD Projekt RED is offering incentives heading into the next generation of consoles. For instance, players who purchase the Xbox One version of Cyberpunk 2077 will get a free upgrade of the Xbox Series X version for their trouble.

Unfortunately, the game did receive a push back to September from its original April release date. However, as with most delays, this was done so the game could be polished and ready for release. It is rumored that the game was simply running poorly on the PS4 and Xbox One and required more time for release as such.

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to launch on Xbox One, PS4, Google Stadia, and PC on September 17, 202o.
