Akin to its "big brother," The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 will also feature free DLC the likes of which will undoubtedly make said predecessor look like a fan-made project. Still, if The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine is anything to go by, Cyberpunk's expansions will be on an alternate level of insanity and detail.

Confirming this news in the form of a Tweet answering a fan question, the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account proves yet again to be, next to Fall Guys, the most hype-building social of 2020. There is no word or confirmation as of yet if this means there will be no extra paid DLC, as well. Judging by how CD Projekt Red is handling next-gen upgrades, it's safe to assume the only extra paid Cyberpunk content will come in the form of its as of yet unknown multiplayer component.

Though, then again, as Cian Maher notes for VG24/7, expansive content like that of Blood and Wine or Hearts of Stone for Cyberpunk will probably be paid for at a price point of around $10-$20.

According to VGC, the details of this DLC will come before the release of Cyberpunk 2077 - potentially amid yet another eye-opening Night City Wire, the last of which gave more in-depth looks at expected firepower and lifepaths in-game. As Adam Kiciński, CDPR president, related in a Polish investor meeting (translated via VGC), Cyberpunk features "no less DLC than The Witcher 3 had," and "a similar scenario to The Witcher 3" in terms of when the added content will be announced.

The hype for CDPR's forthcoming experience continues to build momentum, feining to break at the seams with the amount of praise already being awarded this mindboggling achievement in gaming. Brimming with tons of content at launch with an expected spate of DLC on the near-horizon, not to mention a multiplayer experience itself still relatively unknown yet all the more anticipated, Cyberpunk 2077 boasts a hefty amount of weight in the industry. Despite there being no playable demo, the dark future will still attract players currently on the fence - if not at launch, then most assuredly upon the reveal of this free DLC.

Cyberpunk 2077 jacks into the matrix of PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 19th.
