Kingpin constantly bounces around between heroes. He's played villain to Spider-Man, Daredevil, the X-Men, and even Shang-Chi at times, but when Hawkeye dipped his toes into the underworld of New York City, he also butted heads with the grimacing behemoth. Thanks to Vincent D'Onofrio's social media activity, Marvel fans think that the same might happen in the MCU.

It started with an innocuous tweet: "The three-legged dog. Run'n, jump'n. and with an incredible case of the wiggles." It seems like gibberish at first glance, but fans believe that it's in reference to Lucky the Pizza Dog, a crime-solving, one-eyed canine that's a companion to the two Hawkeyes.

D'Onofrio then went on to like various tweets saying things like "The King returns in Hawkeye," "Timing. Confirmed," and "Can't wait to see you, King." Fans believe that liking these tweets is in reference to Kingpin making an appearance in Hawkeye, but it could also be D'Onofrio playing around with his followers for a bit of fun on a Monday. That being said, the Hawkeye show does feature Echo, a character with strong ties to Kingpin.

Echo is being played by Alaqua Cox and her parentage is what's important. In the comics, she's the adoptive daughter of Kingpin, first appearing in Daredevil #9 from David Mack and Joe Quesada. Her father, Willie "Crazy Horse" was murdered by Wilson Fisk, but his last wish was that his killer raise his daughter.

Parentage is something that has been reshuffled in the MCU numerous times, now, whether it's Ego the Living Planet becoming Star-Lord's father or The Mandarin becoming Shang-Chi's. With that, Echo could be changed around to avoid using Kingpin. Or, Marvel might simply keep it vague. Whatever the case, her appearance alone isn't enough to prove that D'Onofrio is returning.

However, there are rumours all over the internet regarding the Netflix characters. Some speculate that Charlie Cox will reprise his role as Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home, while others believe that we'll see Iron Fist in Shang-Chi 2. Whatever happens, temper your expectations when Hawkeye starts streaming on November 24.
