Data Miners Discover Exciting New Item Coming To Fortnite

Data miners have discovered a new item coming to Fortnite, and users won't have to wait much longer to get their virtual hands on it!

Data miners may have discovered what the next items coming to Fortnite are going to be, and one of them, in particular, is guaranteed to cause mayhem.

The well-known definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again despite getting the same results. That's why when we try to explain the concept of Fortnite's Battle Royale mode to those who are yet to play it, we probably sound crazy. Truth be told, even though you're landing on the same map over and over again, it is far from a repetitive experience.

That's because Epic, Fortnite's developers, keep things fresh with weekly updates, some more major than others. In fact, as one season passes into the next, the game is currently in its fifth season, there are usually drastic changes to the map. Players are expecting that the next drastic change is coming very soon, and the ominous purple cube making its way around the island will have something to do with it.

Some players just can't wait to find out what is coming next and go data mining for information. That's how information about some potential new items coming to Fortnite made it onto Twitter, as you can see below and was reported by Comicbook. The most exciting of those items is the quad launcher. A legendary item that will be familiar to those who have played Fortnite's Save The World mode and can do an awful lot of damage.

The data miners also found code that suggests a new grenade is on its way to Fortnite. The description reads "throw this to create your very own Bounce and Spike Trap arena." Sounds fun, although we're not sure how helpful that would be. Last but not least, a new mode of transport, a balloon. You'll be able to "rapid inflate" the item and float elsewhere on the map, although we're assuming that you won't be traveling all that fast.

As always with information like this, none of it has been confirmed by the developers themselves and while the source has been right in the past, plans can change. Don't go setting your heart on finding a quad launcher next week when there may not be any out there to find. If the above information is correct, however, prepare for carnage, and players slowly floating around above your heads.
