The open-world zombie RPG that hit shelves earlier this year, Days Gone, has added a new BB-themed motorcycle in its latest update in celebration of Death Stranding's release. The motorcycle's gas tanks include BB, a small infant floating in a yellowish substance; the same infant that became the center of Death Stranding's two years of media attention ever since the game received its first trailer.

Not only does this celebrate the release of one of 2019's most highly anticipated games, but it actually makes sense within the world of Days Gone at the same time. Both games are PlayStation titles (for now), and both games tell the story of people dealing with life in a post-apocalyptic America. In Death Stranding, BB is used as an energy source that helps the main character create an infrastructure to reconnect the broken colonies of the country, and it apparently can also be used to power a motorcycle.

Days Gone was released back in April, and like Death Stranding, it was one of the most anticipated PlayStation games of the year. Upon release, Days Gone received mixed reviews from critics. Although the gameplay and zombie hordes were praised, for the most part, many people found the game's story to be lackluster, and the act of traversing through the world's map to be quite tedious.

Looking back on Days Gone's reception comes with a bit of irony today, seeing as Death Stranding is also receiving criticism for tedious gameplay. Many critics seem to be recognizing that gameplay as part of Death Stranding's artistic and abstract expression though, buying into the idea that it isn't meant to be your standard gaming experience. Although Death Stranding seems to be much more ambitious than Days Gone, it also looks like a game that isn't going to be for everyone.

Death Stranding is out now on PS4, and will be released on PC in 2020. Days Gone is also available on the PS4, and if you're looking to ride around in a baby-fueled motorcycle and mow down giant hordes of zombies, it just might be the right game for you.
