Bend Studio's post-apocalyptic Oregon is filled with weapons for Deacon to hunt, kill and destroy his enemies with. At the various encampments that Deacon can visit, there will be a gun locker that you can use to store his weapons. This is also where you come to change the loadout that you want to use whilst exploring.

If you want to survive in Days Gone, the weapon locker is essential. Unfortunately, how this system actually works isn't always clear. Here's everything you need to know about the weapon locker in Days Gone and how to use it.

Where To Find Gun Lockers

Gun Lockers are found in every encampment around Oregon. At O'Leary Mountain Safehouse, you will find the locker in the watchtower where Deacon and Boozer sleep.

At other settlements, speak with the Merchant. You will be presented with two options: Supplies and Locker. Press Locker to access all the weapons you have purchased.

How To Store Weapons

In Days Gone, Deacon can only store weapons that he has purchased from a merchant or that he has unlocked during the main story. This means that you won't be able to store that Assault Rifle that you found in the early hours of the game.

However, you can still get those awesome guns that you find lying around. In fact, you can get access to much better versions of the weapons used by raiders and scavengers.

How To Unlock Better Weapons

Various weapons are tied to mission objectives in Days Gone. One of the earliest examples of this is the Crossbow, which Deacon gets after the introductory Prologue missions. There are many more weapons you will unlock throughout the main game, including the Drifter Crossbow and the Spiked Bat.

However, there are also many weapons that must be purchased from camps. To unlock better weapons for purchase with the various merchants around Oregon, you must gain a higher trust level in their respective camps.

As you earn a higher trust level for each camp, they will stock better firearms for you to purchase and permanently store in your locker.

To level up your trust, you must complete objectives in that camp's surrounding area. This includes clearing infestations, defeating ambush camps, and clearing hordes. You can also collect Freaker Ears as bounties and turn them in when back at camp for a small boost to trust.

With the above information, you now know how to use the weapon locker in Days Gone, as well as how to unlock better weapons for it.
