Others associated with Days Gone responded to the unfortunate news. This included designer, Eric Jensen, who wrote that he was "incredibly sad to hear of the passing of Portuguese actor Filipe Duarte" on Twitter, urging others to send "love to his family during this hard time."

While Days Gone may be one of his most known works internationally, Duarte also performed in a variety of Portuguese productions, including the recent Variacoes: Guardian Angel. He also appeared in The Invisible Life, Cinzento e Negro, and A Outra Margem.

Duarte first starred in a short called 13º Buraco, followed by roles in numerous TV series and movies. His most recent work was Nothing Ever Happened, which is currently in post-production and slated for a 2020 release.

Felipe Duarte helped Deacon St. John come to life in Days Gone, elevating its narrative to an engaging level. Our condolences go out to his friends and family, who hopefully recover well from the actor's tragic passing.
