The iconic story of Harry Potter is a well-known and well-loved tale. Who doesn't want to go to a school for magic (unfortunate home situations notwithstanding)? Little Witch Academia has the same initial setup but veers into a land far more wholesome, dynamic, and downright fun. Kind of like how a great Dungeons and Dragons session can go with your best friends and a DM who isn't a sadist.

Choosing your class is one of the most fun and important parts of creating a D&D character. Not everyone wants to be a wizard, after all, but they can still use magic in a variety of classes. Though all the main characters in Little Witch Academia use magic, not all of them would be magic-users in a D&D group.

10 Lotte Jansson - Druid/Wizard

Lotte Little Witch Academia

Lotte is just the sweetest, most introverted bookworm who is secretly a prep goth in love with a particular book series. She has also come to be something of a trans icon for some fans, as well. But her D&D class actually DOES fall in line with magical abilities.

She would likely multiclass, too, pairing Druid and Wizard abilities. She has that down-to-earth quality in personality, but she is also able to facilitate spirit communication. That kind of awareness pairs well with her studious mentality toward her magical studies.

9 Amanda O'Neill - Fighter/Cleric

Amanda Little Witch Academia

When you look up "my jock girlfriend" in the dictionary, there is a picture of Amanda O'Neill. She has a fiery personality and is willing to jump at any and every challenge she can. That makes her a perfect candidate for a fighter.

But her overwhelming urge to protect others also makes her a candidate for multiclassing, as well. Fighter/Cleric is a fairly common pairing and it suits both Amanda's personality and tactical style.

8 Ursula Callistis - Sorcerer/Fallen Paladin

Chariot Little Witch Academia

Without giving away too many spoilers, let's just say that Ursula has a complicated past. The Luna Nova professor can be a bit out of sorts, but that veil of clumsiness hides her innate abilities and razor-sharp powers of perception.

She makes the perfect Sorcerer/Fallen Paladin multiclass player. The combination sounds counter-intuitive, but it's fairly viable in play. With the way that Ursula's story unfolds in the manga and anime, that "fallen" part feels particularly applicable.

7 Diana Cavendish - Cleric/Wizard

Diana Little Witch Academia

To say that Diana is the Malfoy equivalent in Little Witch Academia would be a grave insult and huge miscategorization. The blue blood witch is incredibly talented and often gets put in tough situations due to her family and their expectations of her.

Her magical acumen paired with her secret need to resolve any problematic situations make her a fantastic Cleric/Wizard or just straight Wizard. She might prefer more offensive Wizard spells than she would restorative Cleric spells.

6 Atsuko Kagari (Akko) - Wild Card

Akko Little Witch Academia

Precious, precious Akko has to work very hard just to hit the bare minimum when it comes to magical skill. Yet somehow, she is chosen by a magical rod capable of powerful things. This, obviously, sets her up as a Warlock of sorts, but she also has overwhelming Paladin qualities, too. Fans could also spec into Bard since Akko always knows how to motivate others.

Warlock/Paladin is much less viable than Wizard/Paladin, unfortunately. But someone looking to roleplay as Akko could play a chaotic good Warlock (even if that has its own quandaries). The beauty of Akko is that she is predictable regarding one thing: her sticktoitiveness in the face of adversity!

5 Sucy Manbavaran - Druid/Sorcerer

Sucy Little Witch Academia

Sucy is the Most Tired Goth and also canonically Filipino, too. She loves mushrooms, poisons, and all things alchemical (or just chemical) in nature. Though there isn't really a Necromancy class in the base 5e D&D lore, Sucy would find a way to make that her specialty.

The class options for Sucy are many from Sorcerer to Druid to Wizard or even Rogue. Like many of her Luna Nova peers, she would likely multiclass to better fit her personality and abilities.

4 Jasminka Antonenko - Paladin

Jasminka Little Witch Academia

Now we're in straight-up Paladin territory. Jasminka is a character who is almost always eating or trying to find food. She is never maligned for this trait and, to be honest, it is never really talked about until it's revealed that she's a total hoss.

The girl could lift a bus and not bat an eye! She is also very good-natured and not quick to anger. Those two traits alone make her a great fit for a Neutral Good Paladin; which entity she worships might be a conundrum though.

3 Constanze Amalie Von Braunschbank-Albrechtsberger - Artificer

Constanze Little Witch Academia

Constanze has the longest name of all time despite being the tiniest bean at Luna Nova. She is typically very quiet, often found tinkering on her steampunk broomstick. But she proves an invaluable teammate in Akko's many capers and shenanigans.

Her natural affinity toward machines makes her a natural fit as an Artificer. She blends the mechanical with magical items in Little Witch Academia, so just think about what she could do in the world of D&D.

2 Miranda Holbrooke - Cleric

Miranda Holbrooke Little Witch Academia

Miranda Holbrooke is the demure headmistress at Luna Nova Academy. She is an old-school witch trying to survive in an ever-changing and ever more expensive world. Despite the challenges she and the school face, Miranda manages to maintain her heart and help the students whenever they need aid.

She is a D&D Cleric through and through without question. Her naturally protective tendencies pair with her long history of mentoring young witches.

1 Croix Meridies - Artificer/Warlock

Croix Little Witch Academia

Croix is one of the most interesting characters in the whole manga/anime. Like Constanze, she fuses magic and non-magical items with a specific focus on technology. Think of her as the baby of Doctor Strange and Iron Man, but with much better hair and fashion sense.

Though she would make a fantastic Artificer, one could also multiclass with her using Warlock or Rogue. As with Sucy or Akko, fans can roleplay Croix in many ways depending on where she falls in her journey throughout the story.
