Since its launch, Behaviour Interactive has stayed loyal to its fans with consistent updates to its asymmetrical horror game, Dead By Daylight. Over the years, new maps, kills, and survivors have been added, along with other kinds of content.

When a new killer gets added, excitement builds around the character. You have a distinct look that ranges from terrifying monsters to sadistic killers, some originally crafted and others straight from classic horror films like Halloween and Saw. Their unique abilities make them stand out, meaning games as survivors or killers are unlike anything else released before. Then, you have their Mori kills, specialized kills that turn Dead By Daylight into Mortal Kombat with a fatality-like execution.

12 Executioner (Default)

Dead By Daylight Mori Executioner Trailer Shot

While the game calls him Executioner, you will know him as Pyramid Head from the Silent Hill series. While he is one of the many crossover characters, he is one of the few originating from a video game.

The default fatality is significantly flashier than his Final Judgement one, which is available if you use the perk of the same name. If you simply have a Memento Mori offering, you get something longer and more interesting. He summons a coil with barbed wire to wrap up the survivor, before thrusting his Giant Knife through their stomach. You have to respect a guy who prefers to use his own equipment.

11 Twins (With Baby Victor)

Dead By Daylight Mori Twins Separating

A few select group of killers have two Moris. The Twins are one, as Charlotte can slay her victim one way without Victor, and another with him. The way without Victor is pretty straightforward, but when Victor is around things get a whole lot more gross.

When the two are united, the animation changes slightly. First, Charlotte weakens her victim by stabbing them repeatedly, but once they are down, she gives a little nod to an awaiting Victor. Then, on command, the little guy jumps down from his sister to devour the person's flesh. Yummy.

10 Cenobite

Dead By Daylight Mori Pinhead Cenobite Trailer Image

If you are a fan of Hellraiser, the addition of Pinhead must have got you excited. He is a calm yet deadly villain who can take people out with a wave of his hand.

Pinhead sends out hooks to penetrate his victims. He fully utilizes this as he suspends a person in the air with them, pulling at their skin at multiple angles to cause agony before they get dipped into a portal of their demise. In the end, the other player is dead, and your leather suit is clean.

9 Doctor

Dead By Daylight Mori Doctor Shock

This Doctor strikes fear into anyone who crosses his path. Some killers can not reach a climax when their Mori comes up, as they sometimes generically kill someone without their powers. For an early DLC killer, the devs got creative with this one to keep him on brand.

By over-performing electroshock therapy, the Doctor fries his patient's brain. As a professional, he turns their head to check up on them. He is not too kind, however, laughing as smoke comes out of their eyes.

8 Clown

Dead By Daylight Mori Clown Sneaking Trailer

Sometimes it is not about how a killer slays their victim, but what they do after the fact. Clown is already creepy for who he is, but he manages to take it up a notch with what he does with his prey.

Although he technically has two Moris, as the finger he chooses changes based on gender, the result is the same. He stomps their head in until he finishes the job. Afterwards he slices off a finger, which he sucks on for a moment before putting it in his pocket. Of everything he could do, it is quite the unsettling twist to leave people uncomfortable.

7 Plague

Dead By Daylight Mori Plague Costume

If the killers of Dead By Daylight were to have an award show, categories like Most Brutal and Most Stylish Killer would be a part of it. If there were to be a Grossest Memento Mori category, then Plague would win by a mile.

Plague knocks her victim to the ground with her weapon, the Profane Censer. This gives her time to do a quick ritualistic chant, before wrapping the person in her chain and bringing them closer to her face. For a character who vomits as her ability, she does exactly that in the person's face until they die.

6 Onryō (Default)

Dead By Daylight Mori The Ring TV

The creepy woman from The Ring, Sadako Yamura, made her debut earlier this year. Between her two Moris and her disturbing, iconic look, she has become one of the scariest villains in the game.

In the default kill, Onryō balances brutality and scariness. She levitates her prey into the air and slowly breaks their limbs. As they slowly die on the ground, the camera cuts to a close-up shot of one of her eyes to add to the nightmare fuel.

5 Dredge

Dead By Daylight Mori Dredge Behind

Surely the grossest looking killer is Dredge. Those who have played it so far have witnessed its insanely brutal Mori kill, that goes on for what feels like a long time.

In an attempt to run away, the survivor seems to make a break for it, until the creature pulls their feet from under them. Then, to ensure nobody is going anywhere, it stabs its spikes into the person's body and knocks them out with a bonk on the head. While out, it pulls the person inside the dark void in the middle of its body.

4 Trickster

Dead By Daylight Mori Trickster Neon

K-pop fans were put under the spotlight from the Dead By Daylight devs when Trickster walked on stage, with his colorful outfit and neon-colored weapons. Surely, you'd want an autograph from him? Well, you can — at a deadly cost.

Trickster likes to keep his fans at a distance, so he flings his throwing knives at them like a machine gun. Then, when they are dead, he sends one more knife into their heart. Sticking between the knife and the person's chest is an autographed picture, so that everyone knows you've met your favorite star.

3 Onryō (Inexorable Stare)

Dead By Daylight Mori The Ring Stare

Onryō returns for the Inexorable Stare perk that unlocks her secondary Mori, letting you enjoy a cinematic death without the Memento Mori offering. This time around, things get less violent, but far creepier, which may give some people nightmares.

The killer stares down her victim until they die. The person falls to the floor, convulsing as she watches. The screen flickers with TV static, with a close-up shot of her eye. So, maybe it's best to leave a light on and make sure your doors are locked, just to be safe.

2 Ghost Face

Dead By Daylight Mori Ghost Face Selfie

Nobody appreciates branding more than Ghost Face, regardless of who is behind the killer's mask. However, you can balance stabbing a person to death with a bit of humor and personality, as proven here.

If you are a Scream fan, then Ghost Face repeatedly stabbing a person to death is something you have seen before. In a move inspired by the essence of the character, the killer holds up the victim to take a quick selfie. Anyone who has taken a picture knows that they may have messed up, so after a quick camera check, all looks good to post to the 'Gram.

1 Artist

Dead By Daylight Mori Artist Trailer Shot

The bird lady, Artist, uses her crow family for a disgustingly brutal fatality. It goes far at first, but then ratchets up to another level of violence.

She pounces on her prey and shoves her hand down their throat. The person twitches and chokes, while something grows inside them. Soon, a giant crow's head explodes from their body, like a Chestburster from Alien. Then, the camera pans over to show crows flying around their mother.
