With so many Killers in Dead By Daylight and so many things to unlock with each Killer, there is a lot of leveling up to do in this horror game. Even for players just wanting to get a single favorite killer up to level 50, they’re looking at earning 1.6 million Bloodpoints, which takes quite a while.

To significantly speed up the leveling process and accumulate Bloodpoints faster there are a number of tips the player can use. Between specific perks, completing Daily Rituals, and Offerings, here are some ideas on how to speed up the leveling process.

10 Prioritize One Killer

To kick things off it’s important to pick a particular killer and largely stick with that character. The reason being is that Killers will grow more powerful and more efficient the more levels they have which leads to increased Bloodpoint earnings.

The player will also become more skilled as they become familiar with the Killer’s nuances and learn how to effectively use their perks. So the best thing for the player to do is find their ideal Killer and stick with them.

9 Specialized Torture

For Killers, Bloodpoints are earned for performing activities in one of the following four categories; Brutality, Deviousness, Hunter, and Sacrifice. Each Killer is naturally better suited to a particular category and the player will find themselves drawn to certain activities as a result.

Brutality acts involve hurting the survivors and destroying objects like pallets. Deviousness is about using powers in special ways, like horrifying survivors with Blinks. Hunter is about tracking, chasing, and downing survivors. Then finally Sacrifice is all about appeasing the terrifying Entity by Hooking and killing survivors.

The best Killer is the one the player is best playing with. But for those just starting out or looking for ideas, there are some Killers ideally suited for each playstyle and earning the most Bloodpoints.

The Doctor is considered the easiest overall due to his powers over madness that make him suited for terrifying Devious playstyles. Legion is great for Brutality thanks to his power Feral Frenzy which makes him fast in both movement and attack. Huntress is nice for Hunter playstyles, especially with her Beast of Prey perk. Then Cannibal is best for Sacrifice because of his Barbecue and Chilli perk.

7 Bloodpoint Perks

There are four Killer perks that increase the number of Bloodpoints that can be earned. Two of them, Distressing and Hex: Thrill of The Hunt are general perks any Killer can use. But the others are unique to the Cannibal and Beast of Prey making them important Killers to level up so they can teach the perks to others.

Beast of Prey from the Huntress will give the player up to 50% bonus Bloodpoints earned for Hunter activities. Barbecue & Chilli is a fan favorite as it gives a 100% gain to Bloodpoints when hooking Survivors.

6 Bloodpoint Add-ons

After perks it’s important for the player to pick up Add-Ons that can boost Bloodpoint earnings. There are quite a few that can be helpful for various playstyles.

The best Add-ons have to be Vanity Mirror and Scratched Mirror that are exclusive to The Shape. Vanity Mirror is used while stalking and gives 100% bonus Bloodpoints in Brutality for Hit score events and a 150% bonus to Deviousness points. The Scratched Mirror does the same but with 100% and 200% bonuses respectively.

5 Offerings

Offerings are items the player can buy from the Bloodweb and toss into the campfire for bonuses during a single match. There are a number that provide Bloodpoint bonuses for specific categories or for any action in general.

The best offerings to obtain are the Survivor Pudding for a 100% increase to all activites for the player and Bloody Party Streamers which does the same for every player in the match. Routinely unlocking and using these Offerings is a great way to ramp up levels quickly.

4 Daily Rituals

Every day the player is challenged to complete three activities in exchange for a hefty sum of Bloodpoints. Many of the Rituals are character specific, such as Rite of the Hatchet which requires the player hit a survivor with a Huntress hatchet four times.

The best Ritual is Mors Ambitio which gives 60 thousand Bloodpoints for killing a Survivor with the Killer’s bare hands, though this requires either the Cypress Memento Mori or Ebony Memento Mori offerings to do. The player can trade out one ritual each day if they find it too challenging.

3 Participate In Events

There are a number of events throughout the year that come with bonuses for Bloodpoints. Granted there is a cap to the amount of Bloodpoints a player can earn each event, but the number is large and it’s always worth participating.

The best events are Blood Rush which gives a 50% bonus to Bloodpoint earnings and Blood Hunt which doubles the amount earned. There are also event specific Offerings such as the Gruesome Gateau and Ghastly Gateau that increase every player’s earnings for any activity by 103% and 104% respectively.

2 Friendly Victims

For players really wanting to cook with gas the most efficient way to earn Bloodpoints is to get four other friends and coordinate efforts. The idea is to offer up a Bloody Party Streamer offering and then work together to get the most points possible.

Essentially as the Killer the player will hook the survivors, let them free each other, attack them again, hover around them so they’re within the player’s terror radius, and so on. The idea is for everyone to perform as many activities as possible to maximize earnings.

1 Have Fun

While the above tips and strategies can be used to maximize Bloodpoint earnings it’s important not to do so at the cost of having fun. To level up and prestige each and every one of the 20 Killers in the game would take more than 96 million blood points which is an absurd amount.

Instead of treating the game like a boring second job for efficiency sake it’s better to have fun and let the Bloodpoints accumulate naturally. Still implement the above tactics wherever possible, but the player shouldn’t feel compelled to play as The Doctor using specific perks unless doing so is fun.
