The Merc with a Mouth is back with another live-action superhero movie, and this time he’s putting together a crew. Not the Solo: A Star Wars Story kind of crew, but a group of rag-tag mutants who are likely to be as off as Deadpool is. They did let Peter join the X-Force, after all, who doesn’t even have any mutant or superhero powers. He does have a stellar mustache, though. Deadpool 2 is hoping to ride the gravy train provided by the first Deadpool movie, with just as much humor and action sequences one can shove into a single film.

At first, I was hesitant about Deadpool 2 because of the change in directors. Tim Miller did an amazing job, shocking the Hollywood brass and the world with the numbers the film pulled in over its extended run. Miller nailed the essence of Deadpool’s character in the comics, making the transition to the big screen seem easy. But as fate will often have her way, it seems that director David Leitch has done just fine stepping into the role. And as a bonus, Tim Miller is currently working with writer Brian Michael Bendis on a top-secret movie.

If you haven’t seen the first Deadpool movie, I highly recommend renting it. Although, it’s not completely necessary to see it before watching Deadpool 2. It’s simply a great film which bucked more than a few trends. If seeing Peter (Rob Delaney) Bedlam (Terry Crews) caught your attention, then these hilarious logic comics are sure to get you all excited for Deadpool 2.

Who needs dark action covers full of suspense and mystery? When Deadpool is the film, a simple rainbow and a unicorn will do just fine. It may sound the marketing team got their wires crossed, but it’s quite the opposite. Deadpool pulled in massive numbers at the box office, holding its own nicely against the MCU and the DCEU. In its opening weekend, it pulled in $135 million domestic and did $264 million worldwide. Last time I checked, those were some pretty impressive weekend opening numbers. And you can thank the marketing team for most of it. After its amazing opening, word of mouth carried the movie to heights unheard of for a rated-R superhero movie. word of mouth It sustained itself for a decent run which brought in $363 million domestically, and $420 million (no China) worldwide, for a grand total of $783 million. The kicker behind all of this money talk is that they did it on a simple $58 million production budget. Unlike the half billion budget Marvel had for each Infinity War film. Yeah, I said half a billion budget per movie. So, make fun of the Deadpool logic all you want, because as you can see from these comics, it’s only helping this iconic character make more money than anyone dreamed of.

24 Logic That Sparked Infinity War

Deadpool Logic

Speaking of Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool has a few thoughts on that. Remember that Wade in the comics went on a rampage to destroy every Marvel character, along with multiple versions of himself. When it comes to pitting powerful characters against one another, Deadpool has experience on his side. This is why he’s quick to point out in this logic meme the excuse of too many characters on the big screen at one time. Civil War in the comics was a huge showdown, yet the movie made it look like a few superheroes playing tag at an abandoned airport. Perhaps it was Wade Wilson who encouraged Kevin Feige to step up the stakes in Avengers: Infinity War. Considering the fact that Deadpool is immortal, I have to wonder whether the Thanos snap would even affect him. If not, then Wade Wilson is surely needed in Avengers 4. Get to signing those contracts Disney, fork over the dough, and bring a ringer know one expected. Although, Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, and Thor might distract Deadpool from completing his objective. Or, they could encourage him to take on the purple baddy all by himself. That’s even better than seeing the Hulk take on Thanos. I wonder how Josh Brolin would feel about it.

T’challa isn’t exactly known for his sense of humor. The stoic king takes pride in being serious on and off the battlefield. So, if he did happen to run into Wade Wilson, the events might transpire similarly to this comic. The two have teamed up in the past when necessary, even for a not-so-great short live-action film called Deadpool & Black Panther: The Gauntlet (2016). But this doesn’t mean the two of them are BFF’s now. Wade Wilson has a way of getting under just about everyone’s skin, including the King of Wakanda. Don’t make him break out the squirt bottle. What makes this logic comic so funny, is Deadpool calling for help from Superman. He gets around so much, Wilson often forgets what universe he’s currently in. It would be nice if the two corporate giants of Marvel and DC could come to some form of agreement, allowing Deadpool to operate within both universes on screen. But those days aren’t likely to happen anytime soon. So, until then, we’ll just have to enjoy it through fanfiction. I say Deadpool calling for Superman is a trap. Wade just wants to try his immortality against someone stronger than Black Panther and his mighty claws.

Deadpool and Harley Quinn

The shipping community loves pairing Poison Ivy with Harley Quinn, along with Deadpool x Spider-Man. The interesting part about Harley and Wade Wilson is that they seem to have similar tastes when it comes to suiting colors. The first time I saw this comic, I nearly fell out of my chair, crying with laughter. How cool would it be to see Deadpool and Harley Quinn running around terrorizing superheroes and the villains on the big screen? Having Spider-Man and Poison Ivy looking for the two of them is simply the icing on the cake. The two did recently pair up in the comics, with the release of Harley Quinn: Rebirth (2016). Sadly, it’s not technically Deadpool, as the character was named Red Tool. Really, DC?

Red Tool is slightly obsessed with Harley Quinn (take a number bro), which leads to the two teaming up to take on some zombies.

This comic takes a look at what the actual Deadpool and Harley would look like while trolling the town. Wade carrying Quinn around while she gives directions on where to make things go boom is priceless. As much as I’d like to see a Harley and Joker movie, Quinn and Deadpool are at the top of my list.

21 Generation Gap

Deadpool and Spiderman Comic

Pairing Deadpool and Spider-Man together is a recipe for success. They both like to showcase their talents while running their mouths. Spidey, however, is from a different generation, making his quips unique when paired with Wade’s. That’s what this Deadpool logic comic is trying to get across to its viewers. While Wilson thinks it’s in fashion to have a knife protruding from his hand, Peter thinks he’s off his rocker. But instead of saying that, he replies by saying it is a statement. Just not one that he himself would make. Their differences mesh together like peanut butter and marshmallow fluff. It’s not the same as peanut butter and jelly, but the end result isn’t much different. Both are loved individually and sometimes even appreciated on equal terms. Talk about hitting multiple target audiences at the same time. If the MCU was to introduce Deadpool, pairing him with Spidey is a no-brainer. Especially with Tom Holland currently at the helm. The interaction between the two would be priceless. Can you imagine an extreme Spider-Man and Deadpool standalone film? Meshing Deadpool with the other MCU characters might not be as easy, but who say’s he needs to fight in an Infinity War setting. Hawkeye got out of it, why not Wade too?

20 Deadpool Is King

It doesn’t matter who in the Marvel Universe you pit against Deadpool because, at the end of the battle, only the Merc with a Mouth will remain standing. Don’t believe me? Then you haven’t read The Deadpool Killogy. Featuring 12 issues, this comic follows Deadpool as he wanders through his own universe, eliminating its inhabitants from a world of fiction. He then strolls into classic literature, terminating anyone he comes across to prevent Marvel characters from being created. Lastly, Deadpool heads into the Multiverse to take out versions of himself. When it’s all said and done, Wade Wilson has taken out every Marvel character, including himself. In typical Deadpool fashion, this logic comic represents how it feels for him to be king. Scott Lang is Ant-Man, recruited by Deadpool to relish in his victory with him, and he’s clearly not getting into the roleplay. Taking the classic scene straight out of Titanic, Wade isn’t afraid to show off his emotions. We already know he has a thing for Araneae, why not Formicidae too (spiders and ants). Could this be a future ship, I mean, crossover? If so, Wasp better run and hide because it is about to get nuts up in here.

Deadpool and Cable Comic

Deadpool and Cable may not have been paired up together before on the big screen, like in the upcoming Deadpool 2, but they’ve spent plenty of time together in the comics. They even have their own comic book series from Marvel Comics called Cable & Deadpool (2004). Listed on Marvel's website as one of “The 10 Greatest Buddy Teams,” Cable & Deadpool was launched in response to their canceled solo series. With tons of action and shenanigans, the series lasted 50 issues before each character got a new spin-off solo series.

Deadpool and Groot share more in common than they might think, much to Cable’s displeasure.

They both know how to take it easy and relax during intense times and can step up their game when needed. The best way to brush up on one’s skills concerning aliens and cyborgs from space is to whip out the old Nintendo 3DS. He could be playing Monster Hunter 4 or The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, but knowing Deadpool — he’s likely playing Animal Crossing. His gameplay may get under Cable’s skin, but don’t worry. Once they start battling the big baddies wrecking havoc, it’s like watching a well-oiled machine take care of business.

18 Deadpool Vs. Batman

Batman and Deadpool are total opposites of one another. Bruce lives the high life, taking his street battles seriously. While Deadpool is, well, Deadpool. Batman does have a twisted sense of humor, as the recent animation movies have clearly shown. There’s nothing like sharing a laugh with the Joker after a fun night of trying to take each other out. In this feature comic, Bruce is calling Ryan Reynolds out for being Green Lantern. Something he’s made fun of himself during the opening credits of Deadpool. Deadpool is quick to point out that Batman’s suit looks a lot like Daredevil’s. It’s also likely a jab at Batman’s old man sight for not being able to recognize the difference between him and Green Lantern. Always one to use weapons first and ask questions later, Wade pulls out one of his handy pistols. Batman, too old and tired from decades of poorly made films, looks like he wants Deadpool to pull the trigger. Allowing him to finally get the peace and rest he’s been longing for all these years. But when push comes to shove, Bruce Wayne will kick it into high gear, enjoying the thrill of a fun fight, knowing Wilson will recover and get over it.

17 Bad Idea Wade

Deadpool Comic

Spider-Man may be on the young side, but his mind is as sharp as a tact when it comes to good ideas. “Have you seen that old movie, Aliens.” Just look at how he and Iron Man took care of Ebony Maw in Avengers: Infinity War. Wade Wilson is a bit more like Star-Lord when comparing universes. Which is a crossover I would love to see. The interaction between Iron Man and Star-Lord in Infinity War was so-so. Add Deadpool into the mix and audiences are in for a treat not seen since Spaceballs.

Deadpool’s a joy to watch, but he’s a few fries short of a Happy Meal regarding good ideas.

This logic comic takes Wilson’s bad ideas to the extreme by inviting the Red Hulk to join up with him, Daredevil, the original Hulk, and Spider-Man. Why Wade thought this was a good idea is beyond logic, as Spider-Man is quick to point out. One Hulk on rage is enough, adding two into the mix is a recipe for disaster. In standard Deadpool style, Wade Wilson breaks the fourth wall announcing it’s time to move to the next panel of the comic strip before things get too far out of hand.

Deadpool Logic Meme

Wade Wilson has a comment, response, and a good dose of logic no matter what the subject matter may be. Nothing is going to keep this Merc with a Mouth from speaking his mind to whoever may be listening. The first Deadpool film had a host of great quotes regarding a whole host of topics. From predicting Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s comeback comments to shooting the breeze with Weasel over a few beverages, Deadpool never fails to deliver. To get in the right mind frame for Deadpool 2, here are a few of my favorite quotes (PG style).

“Listen, the day I decide to become a crime-fighting shizzle swizzler, who rooms with a bunch of other little whiners at the Neverland Mansion of some creepy, old, bald, Heaven's Gate-looking jerk — on that day, I'll send your shiny, happy rear a friend request!” Or how about, “Life is an endless series of train wrecks with only brief commercial-like breaks of happiness. This had been the ultimate commercial break. Which meant it was time to return to our regularly scheduled programming.” Wearing the proper color pants is essential: “This guy's got the right idea. he wore the brown pants.” As is finding a good TGI Friday’s, “I've been traveling to exotic places, Baghdad, Mogadishu, Jacksonville, meeting new and exciting people.”

15 Spidey Love

Movies and television shows are finally entering the present age regarding a character’s gender role and who they want to be with, whether it’s male or female. In the comics, the common traditional gender roles have been expanded upon for years (but not as long as anime). Case in point, Deadpool. Gerry Duggan (writer of Deadpool comics) spoke out on Twitter several years ago, stating Deadpool is open. Ryan Reynolds also made a statement to Variety a couple years ago saying, “What love is to Deadpool may not be what love is to Batman or someone else,” the Merc with the Mouth explained. “I think that could be played up more. He’s an outsider in every way, shape, and form.” In this hilarious comic strip, we see Deadpool settling in to watch Captain America: Civil War. Or as he calls it, Iron Bolts Vs. Captain Bird. It’s just another afternoon chilling with a movie and some theater snacks until Spider-Man makes his appearance. Deadpool quickly changes into his infamous black anime style dress from the comics and begins gushing over Spider-Man. The first time these two characters meet in the comics is during Deadpool V.1 #11. Over the years they continue to work together more and more.

14 Wrong Universe

Deadpool Vs MCU and DCEU

Captain America: Civil War will always be in my top 5 favorite MCU films. Watching Cap and Iron Man duke it out, in conjunction with the airport scene makes it all worth it. Unlike Batman Vs. Superman which was only somewhat satisfying. The whole Martha think was a bit on the nose, which is why Deadpool can’t resist bringing it up in this hilarious logic comic. For the record, Tony Stark’s mother’s name is Maria and Sarah is Steve’s mothers' name. But we’re not getting technical here.

This is about calling out DC because when it comes to superheroes fighting each other — Marvel is sitting on the throne.

Personally, I enjoy a good fight. It can be heroes against heroes or good guys against the baddies. But for it to be successful on the big screen or comic book pages, there needs to be at least a somewhat entertaining storyline to accompany it. This is where MCU has excelled over DCEU. Will it always be this way? Hopefully not, as I am a DC too. If Marvel was to include Deadpool into the mix, a scene like this would go viral on the inter-web. Sadly, I don’t think MCU fans will have Tony and Steve for much longer.

It’s been a few years (2013 to be precise) since Nerdist showcased Machinima‘s YouTube video of Batman Vs. Deadpool, but the short 5-minute video is still worth the laughs. Wade Wilson loves putting himself in precarious situations, mostly because he’s got a few screws loose and gets bored easily. Deadpool also enjoys imitating other superheroes that he secretly respects (or has a crush on), like Spider-Man. In this comic clip, we see Wilson standing upon the iconic Gargoyle, running through his checklist to see if he’s nailed the Batman part. The fluffy ears are the best part, with the Batman bed sheet tied around like a cape coming in a close second. The Deadpool symbol lit up in the night sky is also a nice touch. Wade better watch his back though, as Bruce has taken him out in a fight before. Not being able to perish has its drawbacks when one lets it go to their head like Wade did in the Machinima video. My favorite part is when Deadpool is running his mouth about not being able to perish when Bruce says, “I’m counting on it.” Such a typical Batman line. I won’t spoil Deadpool’s lines if you haven’t seen the video, but their all spot on too.

12 Getting In Character For Cosplay

Deadpool Star Wars Crossover

Deadpool hijacking vegetarians to create some role-playing fun isn’t that weird. Choosing the classic meatloaf to feed them is the perfect dish. What makes this comic meme even more on point, is Wade doing his best Sand-Man impression from Star Wars. Talk about Spaceballs becoming a reality. The whole galaxy wouldn’t last more than a few years with Deadpool walking around. Fans who hated The Last Jedi should petition Marvel to include Deadpool in the Skywalker saga films. The past would certainly cease to exist. One of the vegetarians asks Wade Wilson if he is ill, which means his Sand People growl might need some work. Deadpool can’t be perfect at everything he does. If Mel Brooks was to ever do a sequel to Spaceballs (which I am secretly hoping for), casting Ryan Reynolds to do a spoof Star Wars crossover as a knock-off of Deadpool would be ingenious. Plus, it would likely bring in megabucks at the box office. Better yet, have Donald Glover join the writing team while playing a spoof of Lando. Now we’re talking. I want to see a Sabacc game played between Lando and Deadpool, with the pot including one another’s black book of past girlfriends.

Deadpool and Cable

Deadpool and Cable have worked together in the comics, but from what the Deadpool 2 trailers are showing thus far, it seems they’ll be fighting each other. According to the Marvel characters stat page, Cable is “a highly accomplished warrior and battle strategist, highly adept in many forms of hand-to-hand combat and in the use of a variety of weaponry from both the 20th and 40th Centuries.” He also has a wide range of psychic powers which include telepathy and telekinesis. It should also be noted that Cable in the comics, has a diploma in Law. Why that’s included is beyond me, but I’m 99 percent positive that Wade Wilson will take a jab at that juicy piece of information in Deadpool 2. This logic comic gives us an idea as to what the relationship between Deadpool and Cable is like. Cable is the tall stud while Deadpool is ever the prankster, yet, powerful enough in his own right. Cable first appeared in Marvel Comics under the name Nathan Summers in Uncanny X-Men #201 (1986), and as Cable in New Mutants #87 (1990). Deadpool 2 will be his first appearance in a major film, fighting against Deadpool and his reject team of mutants known as the X-Force.

Tim Miller sadly isn’t directing or writing any of Deadpool 2 like he did with the first Deadpool movie. The reason I bring this up is because Miller was a big fan of showcasing Wade Wilson’s open identity. He's been very upfront that Deadpool isn't exclusively interested in one gender or another. It’s unclear if the new leadership under director David Leitch, along with writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will continue down this path. Thankfully, Ryan Reynolds is also listed as a writer. And we know he loves the idea of Deadpool being open. This comic explores another possible Marvel's potentially open characters, Thor. Notice the God of Lightning doesn’t reject Deadpool’s pick-up lines. Instead, he simply looks at him a tad confused, wondering if this is really going down. Loki is probably the one who shouts Odin’s blood off the panel, giving the awkward moment a break and a transition back into reality. For the time being, anyway. Deadpool isn’t the first male character to notice Thor’s good looks. Iron Man in his own unique way complimented Thor by referring to him as Point Break (Patrick Swayze), which is a huge compliment. Even if made in jest.

9 Crossover Fight Logic

via: comicvine.com

The most common trope found in superhero comics and movies is that of the heroes fighting each other. Most might find this annoying, as I do from time to time, causing some critics to lash out at writers and producers for lazy writing. But when you take a step back and look at the big picture, these in-fight scenes are really a call back to what has been done in the comics since their beginning. It’s a trope because it’s a part of the comic book universe. Does this mean every movie should be this way? Absolutely not. But the next time you see a bunch of superheroes trying to take each other out, remember the significance these battles have towards true die-hard fans. That’s right, it’s fanservice. Too much of it can be a bad thing, and there have been more than a few examples in recent history where a  storyline didn’t compliment the fanservice fight. But it can be done properly, like Captain America: Civil War. And should continue to be done, like in the upcoming Deadpool 2. This logic comic points out that the battle scenes seem ridiculous, which they are, but it’s what keeps comic book fans happy.

8 The True Deadpool Vs.

Via Screenrant.com
Deadpool and Spiderman Comic

The relationship between Deadpool and Spider-Man is complicated. Spidey, being just a kid, doesn’t know how to always handle Wade's advances. So, he usually ignores him and shrugs his shoulders regarding Wilson’s random comments. Deadpool is also known for having a mind that can’t stay on target for more than 5 minutes. One moment he’ll be hitting on any female within a 50-foot radius, and the next moment he’s up in Peter Parker’s face having a discussion about niche anime devotions. Or Yow-EE as Wade Wilson likes to call it. Notice in this logic comment, Parker has had enough of Deadpool’s shenanigans, finding shelter on the side of Tony Stark’s Avenger building. When Peter Parker can’t handle a crazy superhero like Deadpool, the obvious choice is to run and hide by his father figure Iron Man. I can see the dialog looking going like this: “Mr. Stark! There’s this crazy guy in a red suit like mine talking about imagining him as Wolverine. I don’t want this Mr. Stark. Make him go away.” Not that one can get rid of Wade Wilson. Being immortal does have its advantages. But Iron Man could blow him into a few hundred pieces, giving them time to escape Wilson’s head games.

7 Too Much For MCU

Via Favim.com

The Disney and Fox buyout, or merger, has many fans questioning what Deadpool might be like it thrown into the MCU. Would Disney and Marvel continue the grown-up trend of Deadpool in conjunction with other MCU characters? Or do they plan to water him down into a PG-13 shell of himself? These questions, unfortunately, can’t be answered yet, but we can speculate. I think Marvel will try to clean up Wade Wilson, making him what they think is a proper superhero. My reasoning behind this comes from the cancellation of Donald Glover’s Deadpool: The Animated Series which was supposed to be on FX.

There weren’t any clear reasons given for the cancelation of the show, other than FX hinting about Glover being too busy for the project.

But if you’ve visited Twitter in last couple months, you’d know that Donald responded to those claims by writing a “season finale” script which he then tweeted to the world. Not only did he bash FX for being greedy, but he also hinted that the series never took off because they were afraid of the content. If FX is afraid to show Deadpool in his original form, it doesn’t look promising that Marvel with either. Maybe, just maybe I might be wrong. And to be honest, I hope I am.

6 Don't You Know?

Deadpool Logic

Wade Wilson isn’t the most stable superhero in the universe. He has a good heart, don’t get me wrong, but his mentality is closer to that of the Joker and Harley Quinn than that of Captain America. One moment he’ll be saving the planet, and in the next, he’ll be trying to take out every superhero who ever existed. While hitting on them with cheesy pick-up lines. He enjoys pushing boundaries and he lives for the thrill of the unknown. The movies touch on this aspect of Wilson’s mentality some, but the comics reveal his true nature. For Cable to question Deadpool’s sanity, is like asking if the sky is blue. But if we take a deeper look into the psyche of superheroes, their all a tad out there. Even Cable, which is why Deadpool is fighting against him in Deadpool 2. Superman has lost it on more than one occasion, as has Batman, Iron Man, and countless others. The trope of humanity turning against those with powers stems from the fact that they all suffer mentally like we do. But when you can wipe out half the Earth because you’re mad or depressed, the assumption is that superheroes aren’t allowed to have mentally off days.
