It looks like the Merc with a Mouth might be joining Midnight Suns as one of its playable characters at some point, as Deadpool just took over the game's social media accounts to ask players to campaign to get him into the game.

Earlier today, Deadpool took over the Midnight Suns Twitter account, doodling chimichangas and his own face over several of the heroes on the front cover, alongside naming the account "#DeadpoolSuns". Deadpool also changed the bio on the Twitter account to read, "DEADPOOL here! I have taken COMPLETE control of this channel until these nerds put me in their Midnight Suns game. let's get messy".

That wasn't all, though. A blog was also released from Deadpool's point of view where he, voiced by Nolan North, says that he wants in on the Midnight Suns team and that he's not happy with some of the fan requests so far, including Moon Knight and, a bit of a deep cut here, Frank Drake. Deadpool even drew up his own version of the Midnight Suns uniform, which basically just shows him as a wizard, and if that's actually what they end up giving him in the final game then it's an instant Game of the Year win from me.

This might be obvious, but it's incredibly likely that Deadpool is already in the game in some form, and that this ad campaign is just a fun way to announce him being added. He's clearly already got a pretty detailed character model, one that's reminiscent of his appearance in his own 2013 game, as well as Nolan North voicing him again, which seems like a lot of effort to put into a character if they aren't already being considered for the game.

To add even further fuel to the flame, the description of the YouTube version of the video reads, "You can’t throw a party without Deadpool! At least that’s what he says…Deadpool has reached out to 2K and The Midnight Suns demanding his inclusion on the team. What do you all think? Should we allow him in?" You can't read that and tell me that it isn't corporate speak for "this character is coming to the game, please be excited".

Although it's possible that Deadpool will be a part of the base roster for the game, it's also possible that he gets added as part of Midnight Sun's first DLC pack. The key art for the first DLC pack has what appears to be a cut from a katana on it, which was previously taken as a hint towards Blade, but we now know that he's going to be in the game from launch. That means that if Deadpool isn't a part of the launch roster, the katana slice could be a very clear hint towards him. Heck, even the bullet holes could be referencing Deadpool, so his inclusion is pretty much a given at this point.
