Death Stranding will be a bit similar to Metal Gear Solid 5, as the upcoming title will offer a cooperative multiplayer and a feature that could be described as a Forward Operating Base (FOB) for now.

The game has been announced for exclusive PlayStation 4 release after a few eerie teases. Sony has since divulged details on how its multiplayer should function. We should have already guessed that there would be no PvP as Kojima Productions does not offer such. Instead, players will be able to work with and help each other.

The Death Stranding listing on the UK's PlayStation website displays a header reading: "Assist other players." The multiplayer description goes on to state that players can “help other travelers without ever crossing paths via asynchronous online gameplay."

Players will also be able to send other players supplies, share safehouses, and walk in the footsteps of others as they attempt to reunite civilization. Similar to Dark Souls' multiplayer, players can leave messages for each other, while creator Hideo Kojima has revealed that the game will offer something close to the FOBs in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.

via junkiemonkeys.comNormally, players are able to attack in-game bases of other players, but Death Stranding offers no such option, and it appears that the title's multiplayer is completely cooperative. Kojima has declared that this game will be all about building connections, and he means it.

The creator says he hopes that playing Death Stranding will help players “understand the true importance of forging connections with others," while one of the actors in the game, Mads Mikkelsen, has claimed that player collaboration will be essential.

Kojima is looking to forge a bit of a different path in the gaming world and is keen on not promoting war or nuclear weapons. While many other games allow players to destroy other players and their property, Death Stranding will be all about peace and love.

We're going to guess that Bob Marley tunes were blaring throughout the studio while the game was being developed.

Hopefully, there will be a lot more revealed before the game drops on November 8, 2019. Until then, One Love y'all.
