There are many instances in Deathloop where you will stumble upon something you don't have the right tools or information to progress yet, and the Microphone Password for Updaam's RAK Door is one of those events. However, the method of obtaining the door's password is more straightforward than one might anticipate.
Obtaining the RAK Door's password will become available to Colt - usually towards the end of the game - whenever you attempt to track down Julianna, one of the game's eight Visionaries and the main antagonist of Deathloop. However, even with the high-end target, getting past the door shouldn't prove too much of a hassle.
Radio Silence Lead (Setup)
To open the RAK Door in Deathloop, you must first complete a handful of objectives beforehand that take place during the game's main questline. The lead you're looking for is called "Radio Silence" and has Colt explore The Complex District to try and uncover what Julianna has been hiding.
However, you will have to progress through the game until Colt finds out about the Power Station in The Complex to start the Radio Silence Lead. This part of the guide will focus on that part onward as you can get this lead in a wide variety of manners, and it is unknown what triggers the start of the quest other than progressing through the story as usual (killing Visionaries).

Check Out The Power Station
The first step is to search the Power Station in The Complex during the morning as Julianna has issued that part of the facility to go on lockdown past then. As you exit the tunnel, take the left pathway and follow it out until you see several Eternalists standing outside with a camera above a doorway.
Defeat the Eternalists, hack the camera, and move into the building. Once inside, head right and go down the stairs into a control room. After searching through the control room, head down another set of steps until you see a battery on a chair. Don't pick it up just yet, but remember it for later. Instead, keep moving down the steps, and you will see a handful of Eternalists in the room.
Turn This Thing On
Dispatch the Eternalists and then head back up the stairs and grab the battery from earlier. Take the battery back down the steps and place it in the furthest generator. After pressing the button on the generator, the battery will pop out of it but is now completely drained. However, there is a door between both of the generators that has a battery charger behind it. Recharge the battery and place it in the other generator.
After charging both generators, head back upstairs and hit the first lever on the control panel. You will see shutters open in front of you, revealing a room in the distance. From here, head upstairs and head to the door on the far right of the room marked "HZN."
Search Tidevarv Station
Keep following the newly opened pathway until you reach a console with the text "all that matters" above it. There will be a "Strictly Confidential" note and a "Test Flight 01" audio log near this console. Grab both and then head up the stairs and out the door. You will now be underneath Wenjie's Lab and can safely make your way to the tunnels. The next step is to open the RAK Door in Updaam.
Before doing the steps below, head to Updaam at noon and head to the archives (left of the RAK Door). It's unclear if this step is necessary, but a note on the door essentially tells you that they leave the door open to the archives in the afternoon. Leave, and then immediately go right back into Updaam and the archives.
RAK Door Password - First Door Guide
As the heading implies, the locked bunker door in Updaam is the first of two doors you will need to unlock to progress deeper into the bunker to unravel the mystery and track down Julianna. However, before we get into precisely what you will be doing, here is a short breakdown of the scenario you need to be in to get the password.

Search The Archives
The password to the RAK Door isn't too far away from the bunker and is, in fact, practically right beside it. Head up the stairs from the bunker and look left once you reach the top. You should see a building with the words "do you remember?" on it, as well as a "Trust The Visionaries" sign at its base.
You will see a shutter that isn't closed the entire way, allowing Colt to crouch underneath it to get inside. Once inside, take the door up to the apartment and head left into the library. There will be a document pulled halfway off a bookshelf, and read it to obtain the password for the RAK Door.
Once you have the password and have searched the rest of the apartment, head back to the RAK Door. Colt will remember the password from the document and will gain access to the bunker. Enter the bunker and head to the far end of it, and you will find yet another locked RAK Door with a note attached to it.
Read the note attached to the second RAK Door, which will reveal that the door requires three passwords to open. Fortunately, the not also gives detail on where to obtain each password. From there, you can either stick around and do other Leads or safely exit through the tunnel.
RAK Door Passwords - Second Door Guide
After you have made it past the first RAK Door, you can't progress this guide further until the next loop. You can skip each day until the next loop starts or do any other Leads until then. Below are the scenarios for every step required to open the second RAK Door in Updaam.
While each step isn't all that difficult, this process is incredibly time-consuming and requires multiple fresh loops to move it along. When applicable, we recommend skipping to the next day to speed things along, but you are free to do pretty much anything after doing the morning and noon steps.
Divert The Power

After leaving the tunnels, take the left path until you reach a group of Eternalists and a camera. Eliminate the Eternalists, hack the camera, and then head inside. Like before, head to the right and then down the steps. Make a note of the battery on the chair, but leave it there for now.
Eliminate every Eternalist in the room further down the stairs, head back upstairs, and grab the battery mentioned earlier. From there, place the battery in the furthermost generator and wait until it spits it back out. Take the drained battery through the door in the middle of the two generators and then place it in the other generator.
From there, head back up the steps and then pull the second lever this time around (from the left). You can now safely head back to the tunnels and leave The Complex. This is a sequence you will do a couple more times, so get used to it.
Search Yansen Station
- District: Updaam
- Time of Day: Noon
- Visionary Lead: Radio Silence
- Step: Search Yasen Station
After diverting all the power to Updaam, you need to make your way to Yasen Station. To do that, head to Updaam (preferably at noon) and head left after exiting the tunnels. From there, make your way towards the center of the district, where the library is.
Once there, clear out every Eternalist and then head to the left of the library, as if you were going towards Charlie's Mansion. However, instead of crossing the bridge leading to Charlie's, look to its right for a metal door with "HZN" on it. Pull the lever beside the door and enter the bunker.
Make your way up the bunker stairs until you reach a desk with a lit lamp on it with the light shining on a lone document. After reading the paper, you are free to do whatever you want and can leave Updaam. Unfortunately, you must wait until a new loop to continue this quest.
Divert The Power #2

Follow everything from the first "Divert The Power" step, except pull the third level from the right to direct all power to Fristad Rock this time. From there, make your way to the tunnels and exit the map to get on with the next step.
Search Sova Station
- District: Fristad Rock
- Time of Day: Noon
- Visionary Lead: Radio Silence
- Step: Search Sova Station
After exiting the tunnels, take out the Eternalists directly in front of you and then take the first pathway on the right. From there, navigate the minefield until you reach the tall bunker on the left. Once you're there, look for a cliffside behind the tower and make your way over to it.
When you're at the cliffside, you should see many Eternalists, a turret, and a hillside bunker far below you. Take the pathway on your left and take the Eternalists out in the process. Once that's done, head to the far left of the outside of the bunker (when looking at it). You should see a door with the letters "HZN" on it, enter through that door.
Once inside the bunker, look for a desk with a table lamp on it. Read the document on the desk for another part of the password for the second RAK Door in Updaam. After searching the rest of the room, you are free to do whatever you want until the next loop.
Divert The Power #3
- District: The Complex

Follow everything from the first "Divert The Power" step, except pull the third level from the right to direct all power to Karl's Bay this time. From there, make your way to the tunnels and exit the map to get on with the next step.
Search Akkar Station
- District: Karl's Bay
- Time of Day: Afternoon
- Visionary Lead: Radio Silence
- Step: Search Akkar Station
After exiting the tunnel, take a left and make your way through the Gardens of Perception. From there, kill the Eternalists and proceed to the end of the highway. Head down the pile of debris while taking out any Eternalist in the area. After eliminating all of the Eternalists, head towards the end of the pier to the left.
Upon reaching the end of the pier, jump down onto the frozen beach, and work head left towards a large, isolated bunker. Open the giant "HZN" door and enter the bunker and let the cutscene play out. Once that's done, look on the ground for an audiotape.
Listening to the audiotape will grant Colt the final password for the second RAK Door in Updaam. From here, you are free to leave or clean up some unfinished business if you have any. Once you have finished exploring the bunker and leave Karl's Bay, it's time to head to the last steps.

After doing everything above, it's finally time to head back to Updaam and back to the two RAK Doors. Once you're there and enter the three passwords, a small cutscene will play out, and you will complete the Radio Silence Lead.
After the cutscene plays out, you will receive the Trophy/Achievement Beyond The Horizon and figure out the next quest. And, with that, that's everything. Now it's the matter of figuring out how to eliminate all eight visionaries in a single loop, but that's a whole other issue.
