Acid Nerve's latest release, Death's Door, has hit 100,000 players after only one week of release: "Thank you so much for the support and love for our little crow."

Published by Devolver Digital, Death's Door is a Zelda and Dark Souls-like, top-down hack and slash that sees you playing a crow embarking on a journey to gather great souls. The crows reside in the black and white limbo where they - the crow reapers - bury their noses in paperwork, while they open doors to the mortal plain where agents go to kill those whose time is up.

It is currently £16.79 on Steam and Xbox with an average of "very positive reviews." Sites such as IGN, Game Informer, and Digital Trends gave it a 9/10.

It's Acid Nerve's second-ever game with the first being Titan Souls which was released in April 2015. It also garnered glowing reviews with Yahoo Games giving it a 9. PC Gamer gave it an 8.7 and IGN gave it an 8. Similarly, it is very akin to Dark Souls which is evident even in its naming.

You can purchase both Titan Souls and Death's Door in a discounted bundle. Otherwise, Death's Door has both a digital soundtrack and an artbook up for grabs.

Even Xbox boss Phil Spencer joined in on the fun, tweeting a screenshot of him toppling one of the early bosses in the game to which Devolver Digital replied, "Fuck em up, Phil."
