With a variety of weapons and attacks to choose from, you’ll jump into the Deathverse to try to get a glimpse of stardom. Before you go, you’ll need a couple (let’s say ten) of these tips to help you achieve that fame.

10 Train With The Hangman

Once you get into the game, the best idea would be to start training with the hangman as much as possible, he'll be your tutorial boss.

This way you’ll get a good sense of the weapon and character you are using. Keep in mind every weapon has a different combo set, and an amazing perk of training with the Hangman is the Combo Check session. Every time you reach your maximum combo set, the Hangman will prop up its shield. It's a great way to learn how long you have before an opponent comes at you.

9 Find The Triangle Attack Subskill

If you pay attention to the lower right corner you’ll see a grouping of four different power moves, with the last one being empty.

Don’t go thinking you’ll unlock it later on, because that just isn’t the case. The final power move is a subskill that you’ll need to find around the map. They are usually green and triangle shaped. Don’t forget to always pick up another one after you use the ability.

8 Don't Get Too Excited Using The Katana

The Katana is a favorite weapon across many games, and it’s a favorite of many players in Deathverse: Let It Die as well. With its sleek style, there is no reason not to love it.

The only downside to the Katana is that in the Deathverse the weapon of choice of Samurai has a three-hit combo, and usually can’t break shields. The only way it can break a shield is by using the power up on a Steel Katana, which you need to recharge with power pods to use.

7 Power Pods = Main Skill

Once the battle begins, the first thing you should have in mind is finding Power Pods, which will save you loads of hassle later in the game.

Power Pods will give you the chance to unlock your weapon's Main Skill, and we can't stress enough how much you’ll want to have that option available when you're facing an opponent. So, go find those Power Pods as soon as possible, and don’t say we didn’t warn you.

6 Take Advantage Of Drop-Offs

deathverse high ground advantage

Drop-offs are lifesavers and boss killers. In this universe you should be using those ledges for a variety of reasons, the first being a classic Leonidas-style knock-off that will send your opponents flying to certain death.

However, if you’re on a higher level than your enemy and the drop-off isn’t too high up, you could use this to your advantage and sneak attack them. While the enemy is still startled you’ll be able to give them their final blow.

5 Never Fight The Hunter

If you haven’t played the game yet, there is one opponent that you need to keep your eyes out for. This opponent is not player-controlled, but rather AI-controlled and extremely overpowered.

The company behind the Deathverse sends him to make sure none of the combatants get overconfident. The best advice is to run for your life. If you get lucky and see some players around you, why not bring the Hunter along to have them taken out?

4 Pick The Right Weapon

There is a great variety of weapons in the Jamboree, and when you’re picking your first battles, it's great to try them out so you’ll know what suits you best. The game offers five different weapons, each with its own variant.

The base weapons are the Machete (easy to use and causes fire damage), the Katana (three-hit-combo that is both a blessing and a curse), the Hammer (slow and steady wins the race), the Arm Gauntlets (their base electric skill is just beautiful), and the Buzzsaw (the quickest of all, speed but less damage).

3 Sensor Life

When in doubt, and you don’t know where to hunt, tap that Wilson Scan button. You’ll need that more than you think. It will let you see all the enemies in your vicinity using infrared, and is viewed in first person.

The infrared allows you to see through walls and scenery, so you’ll be sure to know where they are. Just hope they haven’t spotted you as well.

2 Being Bloodthirsty Pays Off

In a game called Deathverse: Let It Die, you would expect this entry, but it isn’t only about winning the Jamboree. Make sure to be bloodthirsty and aggressive while playing, because it is the only chance you have to heal yourself properly.

You’ll find that by taking down opponents you’ll be able to fully recharge your life in a jiffy, and sometimes you’ll even get a sweet temporary boost to a random stat. Don’t just go relying on mushrooms for your health, take down those enemies.

1 The Minimap Deserves Your Attention

You’ll realize how most matches end pretty quickly in the Deathverse, and this is because most of the game revolves around cornering all players in one of the rooms and having them fight till their last breath.

But when you’re searching during the midgame, pay attention to the minimap and you’ll notice red Xs popping up. These are dead players, and it's a good way to see how many enemies are in said room and how many have been fighting.
