Pokemon Unite has announced that Delphox will be joining the roster on June 8, following the release of teaser images that were uploaded yesterday. On the official Pokemon Unite Twitter account, an image of a fiery vortex hinted at a new Pokemon coming to the game, one that is now officially confirmed to be the Fire/Psychic type Delphox.

It's pretty exciting news for Pokemon Unite fans, although most of the surprise was ruined due to both Delphox and Espeon's arrival being leaked by dataminers in April. The leak also suggested that both Pokemon would be attackers and that has appeared to be the case. Espeon was confirmed to be a ranged attacker earlier this month, and now the same has been confirmed for Delphox, which is unfortunate news for Unite fans hoping for a bit more variety.

If you've been thinking about getting back into Pokemon Unite, then now is actually a pretty good time to do so. The game recently introduced a limited-time game mode called Catch 'Em Battles, which lets players capture defeated Pokemon to help them score against the opposing team. It's proven pretty popular amongst Pokemon Unite fans, but you'll need to jump in soon if you want to give it a try as the mode ends on June 26.

It's been a pretty good week for Pokemon fans, what with the new trailer for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet revealing when we'll get to experience the ninth generation of Pokemon. There were plenty of standout moments during the trailer, one of which was the introduction of Lechonk, a Pokemon so popular that it even got some love at AEW. Pokemon fans have also become smitten with the game's unusually hot professors Sada and Turo, drawing up smutty fanart in an impressively short amount of time.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is set to release exclusively on Nintendo Switch on November 18 later this year.
