The long-rumored Demon Souls remake may be getting revealed during this week's Playstation 5 livestream.

Sony's PS5 virtual presentation is expected to be one hour long and reveal a large number of titles coming to the PS5. Due to the cancellation of E3 2020, Sony won't be hosting their typical press conference. Instead, a series of livestreams are planned leading up to the release of the PS5. So far, we've seen deep dives into upcoming games The Last of Us Part II and Ghosts of Tsushima. This week, Sony has scheduled a PS5 reveal to show off their slate of upcoming next-gen games.

Late last year, Shadow of the Colossus Remake developers Bluepoint Games teased on Twitter that they're working on more remakes, including Castlevania and Demon's Souls. When this week's presentation was announced, Bluepoint's CTO tweeted his excitement for the future.

Meanwhile, reputable leaks-man and former Kotaku editor Jason Schreier tweeted about the PS5 event, saying he expects to see both first- and third-party games. When asked about the Demon's Souls remake that Jason himself has said is coming, Jason did not respond directly, but he did give the comment a like.

Demon's Souls is FromSoftware's original Soulsborne and the precursor to the Dark Souls series. Since releasing on the PS3 in 2009 it has become a cult classic and an important part of gaming history as the grandfather of the Souls-like genre.
