Destiny 2 celebrated Bungie Day with a Traveller-sized content drop at reset today, including a new exotic question, Crucible and Gambit bonuses, and a brand new type of focused Engram.

The Exodus has begun, and like it or not, 4 destinations will be leaving Destiny 2 next season to make room for new content coming to the game. Of course, Titan, IO, Mars, and Mercury aren't going to simply vanish for no reason, and this week marks the beginning of the end for some beloved (and not so beloved) patrol areas.

To take the edge off, a brand new focused Engram has been introduced as a reward to completing the new weekly bounties found of the soon-to-be obliterated planets. Called Exodus-Focused Umbral Engrams, these Engrams have a fantastic new pool of loot to farm, and some easy-to-snag triumphs, too.

What Are Exodus-Focused Umbral Engrams?

These new Focused Engrams have been introduced as part of the Exodus: Preparations questline. The planetary vendors on IO, Mars, Mercury, and Titan have a new type of weekly bounty to complete, and you'll need to complete at least one on each planet for the questline. These weekly bounties reward Exodus-Focused Umbral Engrams.

These are a brand new type of focused Engram with a pool containing 4 weapons: Berenger's Memory Grenade Launcher, IKELOS_SR_VR.1.0.2 Sniper Rifle, First In, Last Out Shotgun, and IKELOS_SMG_VR1.0.2 Submachine Gun.

Once you complete the Exodus: Preparations questline, Exodus_Focused Umbral Engrams will be available in the Prismatic Recaster at the tower near The Drifter. Basic Exodus-Focused Umbral Engrams are available automatically, but if you've unlocked Improved Arsenal Focusing on your battle pass, you can also focus Umbral Engrams into either Assasin-Focused Umbral Engrams (for the grenade launcher and sniper) or CQC-Focused Engrams (for the shotgun and SMG). By focusing one of each type you will complete Advanced Exodus Focus triumph.

What Are The Best Exodus Guns To Farm?

Luckily, all four of the Exodus Engram guns are from Season of Arrivals and have a 1360 power cap, meaning they will be useful for the next year. The IKELOS weapons have so far only been available from the new Prophecy Dungeon this season (not counting the original Year 1 version from Escalation Protocol) so you now have another avenue to farm these guns that's a lot more consistent than the dungeon. Unfortunately, the best IKELOS gun, the shotgun, isn't in the Exodus loot pool, so you'll still need to pick one up from the dungeon.

Instead, First In, Last Out is the shotgun available from Exodus Engrams. It can roll with Vorpal Weapon, which is a great new perk introduced this season and a fantastic perk for an energy shotgun. If you're in the market for a shield-breaking PvE or Super-breaking PvP shotgun, this is another good choice.

Berenger's Memory is a rapid-fire grenade launcher that can also roll with some interesting perks. Clown Cartridge adds a random chance to overfill the magazine when reloading, and Disruption Break amplifies kinetic damage after a shield break, even if it isn't type matched. With so grenade launcher powering capping this season, the will be a large gap in this weapon type this fall. Until we see what next season has to offer, seeking out a good roll on a Berenger's Memory is not a bad idea.
