Bungie says that the bug preventing players from getting Izanagi’s Burden is finally going to be patched next week.

Players have known that the Forges have been a bit buggy since Shadowkeep released, but the quest to get Izanagi’s Burden was simply impossible. Even if you managed to get through hours of quest steps and past a buggy Forge, Ada-1 has another bug that simply prevents her from handing out the Key Mold necessary to continue the quest.

This sucks since Izanagi’s Burden is seen as one of the best sniper rifles in the game--perhaps THE best sniper rifle in Destiny 2. While obtaining Izanagi’s Burden is a… well, a burden, it’s supremely satisfying for players to finally wield a weapon of such awesome power.

Instead, players are left with awesome disappointment as they find out that they cannot actually get Izanagi’s Burden due to one truly horrible bug. But it looks like Bungie has heard our pleas and a fix is in the works.

According to the Bungie Help Forums, "a fix for this bug will be released with Update 2.6.1 next Tuesday." That’s great news for anyone looking to upgrade their arsenal with a gun that will let you reach out and kill someone from miles away.

Next week is going to be a busy one for Destiny 2. Rumors of a new dungeon dropping on the moon are widely expected to be associated with Eris Morn and her ghostly companions - perhaps even revolving around a quest to save her old fireteam.

But besides that, there will be other changes. The One-Eyed Mask, a Titan helm that has been a fixture of the PvP scene, is finally going to be nerfed so that Titans stop being the best class for the Crucible. Additionally, the bottom-tree Strike Titan and Dawnblade Warlock are going to have their supers trimmed and abilities toned down to be more in-line with other classes.

Additionally, the Festival of the Lost will begin with unique rewards, ornaments, and a unique auto rifle for a limited time. So get ready for next Tuesday because there will be a ton of changes in Destiny 2.
