Destiny 2's Season of the Splicer has reissued the rest of the Dreaming City's weapons, allowing Guardians to farm for a perfectly-rolled Tigerspite or Twilight Oath. You'll need to complete various Dreaming City activities for a chance of these refreshed rewards, yet there is one reward source that is not only consistent but fairly quick.
The Blind Well. This activity grants not only a Dreaming City weapon upon your first T4 completion that week, but it also grants an Offering to the Oracle if you complete a certain bounty. This Offering can be used to gain another piece of Dreaming City gear, a powerful mod that makes Dreaming City content easier, and pages of one of the best lore books in the Destiny franchise. Let's go over what Offerings are, how you can obtain them, and the rewards you can expect.
Updated August 2nd, 2021, by Charles Burgar: While the Blind Well and Petra's bounties haven't changed since 2018, the return of Dreaming City weapons in Seasons 13 and 14 have made this game type relevant once again. We've rewritten this guide to give a clearer idea of what Offerings do, how to obtain them, and the rewards you can expect by turning one in.
Where To Get The Offering To The Oracle
The Offering to the Oracle is a reward from Petra Venj's "Gateway Between Worlds" Bounty. This bounty tasks you with completing waves of Blind Well, a wave-based activity that takes place in the heart of the Dreaming City. You'll need 40 Dark Fragments to purchase the bounty.
How To Complete The "Gateway Between Worlds" Bounty
You'll need to complete waves of Blind Well in the Dreaming City to make progress on this Triumph. The difficulty of wave will determine how much progress you'll earn:
- Tier I: 10%
- Tier II: 20%
- Tier III: 30%
- Tier IV: 50%
When you enter the Blind Well, you'll be able to deposit a Charge of Light consumable into the central offering device. There are three Charge of Light tiers that correspond with the tier of Blind Well. To activate Tier IV Blind Well, you must complete a Tier III Blind Well run then deposit an Unstable Charge of Light into the central device. This will spawn a tough final boss that, when defeated, will grant a piece of Dreaming City gear for your first T4 clear that week plus 50% progress on your bounty.
Blind Well Tip
As for clearing Blind Well itself, focus on defeating glowing majors. These enemies will drop a glowing sphere that, when picked up, will grant the Harmony buff for 15 seconds. This allows you to spam your abilities and recharge your Super extremely fast. You can also stand outside of the objective bubble while affected by Harmony, allowing you to go all-in on spamming Supers and your grenades. Use Super-regenerating Exotics to throw non-stop Supers.
Obtaining Charges Of Light
Charges of Light can be purchased from Petra Venj. Each tier of charge costs a certain amount of Dark Fragments:
- Tier I: 5 Dark Fragments
- Tier II: 13 Dark Fragments
- Tier III: 20 Dark Fragments
- Tier IV/Unstable Charge: 35 Dark Fragments
How To Obtain Dark Fragments
Dark Fragments drop from Dreaming City activities and Petra's bounties. If you need a quick influx of this resource, focus on completing Petra's bounties. These encourage you to complete Ascendant Challenges and Public Events, two great sources of Dark Fragments. You can only hold 200 Dark Fragments at a time, so be sure to stock up on Charges of Light once you have a full stack.
Presenting The Offering To The Oracle
Offerings are presented at the Spine of Keres, a location south of the Divalian Mists. Here's how you can reach the Oracle:
- Spawn at the Divalian Mists.
- Follow the dirt path directly in front of spawn, leading towards a fork at the northern end of the area.
- Take the left fork through a geode tunnel.
- Follow the path to reach the Spine of Keres.
- Run past the courtyard and bridge to enter the building.

Climb up the platforms along the walls (or take the stairs) to reach a Techeun NPC.
- The terminal beside her will take the Offering.
Oracle Rewards And Transcendent Blessings
Present the Offering you received from Petra's bounty to spawn a chest, granting a piece of Dreaming City loot and a Queen's Bounty. These bounties never expire and task you with completing content while Ascended, a player buff that is obtained by consuming a Tincture of Queensfoil. Tinctures are found by completing Dreaming City content. Completing a Queen's Bounty grants a Transcendent Blessing mod.
Transcendent Blessings remove the negative effect of the Riven's Curse mod, allowing you to deal more damage in the Dreaming City without any negatives. This bonus damage stacks with buffs like Weapons of Light and weapon damage perks, allowing you to complete the Shattered Throne dungeon and Last Wish raid much more easily. Keep in mind that this mod is one-time use. Once it's applied, you'll need to dismantle the armor piece to get the mod back.
Note: As of Season 14, you cannot equip Transcendent Blessings on newer Dreaming City armor pieces (Season of the Chosen or beyond). It's unknown if this is intended or a bug.
You can only turn in one Offering per character each week. If you want more Dreaming City loot and Transcendent Blessings, you'll want to complete Petra's Blind Well bounty on all of your characters each week.
