Destiny 2's Season of the Deep enters its second week with a new set of Seasonal Challenges. Each week, Bungie releases a new set of time-limited Triumphs that grant a massive bundle of XP and Bright Dust when completed. If you're looking to finish your Season Pass or save up Bright Dust, Seasonal Challenges are the way to go.
This week's challenges are fairly easy to complete and shouldn't take much time for most. You'll need to complete Salvage runs, defeat Taken across multiple activities, and land Super kills in Mayhem to finish some of this week's Seasonal Challenges. Let's go over all ten challenges this week, their rewards, and how best to complete them.
Into The Depths II
Into the Depths II: Complete the Week 2 "Into the Depths" mission.
Reward
- 25,000 XP
"Into the Depths" is the seasonal questline for Season of the Deep, obtained by completing an introductory mission on Titan. The second week requires you to complete a Salvage run and a weekly story mission, nothing particularly difficult. Finish this week's story mission to complete this Seasonal Challenge.
Front Line Salvager II
Front Line Salvager II: Open chests in Salvage. Redeeming Salvage Keys grants additional progress. Additionally, defeat Taken anywhere in the system.
Reward
- 25,000 XP
The chest subobjective is retroactive.
Front Line Salvager II requires you to open three Salvage chests and defeat 50 Taken at any point during this season. Opening a Salvage chest with a Salvage Key gives bonus progress toward the first objective. Unless you already own keys, we recommend completing three Salvage runs to finish this challenge. Taken can be found in the Dreaming City and Last Wish raid.
Powerful Salvager
Powerful Salvager: Defeat powerful combatants in Salvage activities.
Reward
- 25,000 XP
Defeat 50 powerful combatants in Salvage to finish this challenge. Powerful combatants refer to any target that's an orange bar or tougher. So long as you have a good build or add-slaying weapon, this challenge should be finished in one or two Salvage runs.
Antithetical Armaments
Antithetical Armaments: Defeat targets with Shotguns or Sniper Rifles. Defeated Guardians or defeated combatants in Salvage or Deep Dive activities grant additional progress.
Reward
- 25,000 XP
Antithetical Armaments requires you to defeat 150 enemies with Shotguns or Sniper RIfles. Salvage and Deep Dive enemies count for double progress, so we highly recommend using a Shotgun in either seasonal activity to get this done quickly. Legend of Acrius, Conditional Finality, and Legendary Slug Shotguns are good options.
Throne World Activities
Throne World Activities: In the Throne World, complete bounties and earn progress by completing patrols, public events, and looting Lost Sectors.
Rewards
- 25,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
Similar to last week's EDZ challenge, Throne World Activities requires you to complete content on Savathun's Throne World. Patrols, Lost Sectors, and public events all contribute progress. We recommend buying bounties from Fynch and farming Lost Sectors to get this done quickly. Lost Sectors on the Throne World are add-dense and make it quite easy to complete weapon or ability kill bounties.
Lost In The Legend
Lost in the Legend: Complete a Lost Sector on Legend or higher.
Rewards
- 25,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
Each day, one Lost Sector in the game will be chosen as a Legend Lost Sector, denoted by a Lost Sector icon beside a planet's Director icon. If the Lost Sector isn't appearing for you, it means you haven't cleared the standard Lost Sector on your character.
Legend Lost Sectors are fairly difficult, impose a -15 Power restriction, and feature Champions. On the flip side, Surges and Overcharge mechanics greatly buff your ability and weapon damage, respectively. Check out our hub page for exact Lost Sector guides, and consider using our endgame builds if you're attempting these solo.
Flourish Of Power
Flourish of Power: Defeat Guardians in the Mayhem playlist with Super abilities.
Rewards
- 25,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
Defeat 25 Guardians in Mayhem with your Super to finish this challenge. Mayhem is a weekly rotating PvP playlist you can find in the Crucible menu. If Mayhem isn't active, you'll need to wait for the rotating playlist to change at weekly reset. Mayhem itself greatly reduces Super cooldowns so getting 25 kills shouldn't be difficult. Use one-and-done Supers to land some easy kills.
Primeval Entourage
Primeval Entourage: Defeat Taken in Gambit. Earn bonus progress for defeating tougher combatants.
Rewards
- 25,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
Primeval Entourage requires you to defeat 100 Taken in Gambit. This kill requirement is much lower in practice since tougher foes count as multiple kills. Taken are found in every Gambit match as Blockers and the Primeval boss. Focus on clearing Blockers and damaging the Primeval's entourages to get this done quickly.
Taken Decimator
Taken Decimator: Defeat Taken combatants in Vanguard playlists or strikes. Earn bonus progress for defeating tougher combatants.
Rewards
- 25,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
Taken Decimator requires 200 Taken kills in Vanguard Ops, tougher foes granting more progress. You can find Taken in the following strikes: Lake of Shadows, the Corrupted, and Hypernet Current. Queue up the specific strikes and kill as many Taken as you can.
Calibrate Long Range
Calibrate Long Range: Calibrate long-range weapons—Pulse Rifles, Bows, and Trace Rifles. Bonus progress is granted for defeating Guardians.
Rewards
- 25,000 XP
- 75 Bright Dust
Defeating 100 enemies with Pulse Rifles, Trace Rifles, or Bows will finish this challenge. Any activity grants credit here, although PvP matches will grant bonus progress. We recommend farming Salvage to complete some other Seasonal Challenges alongside this one. For good weapons, we highly recommend using Trinity Ghoul or Outbreak Perfected to get this done quickly.
