Seasonal Challenges are your best source of XP and Bright Dust in Destiny 2. Each week, Bungie releases a set of challenges that encourage you to play ritual activities, seasonal content, and use the game's crafting and buildcrafting systems.

Season of the Plunder's first set of Seasonal Challenges are quite easy if you're an experienced player. Completing Ketchcrash runs, defeating Guardians with Supers in Mayhem, and crafting weapons are just a few things you can expect. Here is every week one challenge in Season of the Plunder and how best to complete each one.

Successful Expedition

Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder Fallen Crew

Successful Expedition: Obtain Plundered Umbral Energy from bonus chests in Expedition.

Rewards

  • Repute
  • 12,500 XP

Completing Season of the Plunder's new Expedition activity allows you to loot chests at the end of the activity. Open three bonus chests to complete this Seasonal Challenge. While completing this activity and seasonal quest, be sure you fill out your Star Chart.

Antiquarian I

Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder Delicate Tomb

Antiquarian I: Return the first relic to the H.E.L.M. Also, defeat combatants on Europa. Defeating combatants with a Fusion Rifle will award bonus progress.

Rewards

  • Repute
  • 25,000 XP

Ketchcrash won't give you the resources required to finish this quest if you leave the mission early. Be sure to stay until the mission forcibly kicks you out to earn Treasure Coordinates.

Returning a relic is part of the "Sails of the Shipstealer" quest for Season of the Plunder. Complete the first set of quest steps to find and return the relic. You'll need to deposit the relic at the H.E.L.M. to make progress. A table directly across from the Star Chart will have a prompt to place the relic.

This challenge also requires you to defeat 200 combatants on Europa or with a Fusion Rifle, your choice. Fusion Rifle kills grant additional progress, so that's what we recommend. If you'd rather farm kills on Europa, the Perdition Lost Sector is a good farming spot.

Fire Disciple

Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder Ketch Cannon

Fire Disciple: Complete Ketchcrash activities and activate cannons aboard the deck of your Ketch.

Reward

  • 12,500 XP

Ketchcrash is the new seasonal activity for Season of the Plunder. This challenge requires you to clear it three times and activate five cannons. You activate cannons by capturing plates during the start of the Ketchcrash activity. So long as you activate two per run, you should be able to finish this challenge with little issue.

Shaper I

Destiny 2 Season Of The Plunder Weapons Featured

Shaper I: Shape three unique Seasonal weapons.

Reward

  • 12,500 XP

This challenge is quite deceptive. Any Legendary crafted weapon counts for this challenge, not just Seasonal weapons. The three weapons you craft can be of any type, but they cannot be the same weapon. For example, you can make an Austringer, CALUS Mini-Tool, and Syncopatian-53, but you can't make three Austringers. If you want to craft weapons from Season of the Plunder, you'll need to wait until next week to unlock the required Star Chart node.

Europa Activities

Destiny 2 Perdition Lost Sector

Europa Activities: On Europa, earn progress by completing bounties, patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors.

Rewards

  • 25,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust

Completing activities on Europa will slowly give progress towards this Seasonal Challenge. We recommend completing bounties and Lost Sectors simultaneously. Grab bounties from Variks, adjust your loadout to fit each bounty requirement, then farm your favorite Europa Lost Sector. It should only take a few Lost Sector runs to finish this challenge.

Long-Range Calibration

Destiny 2 Ager's Scepter Featured

Long-Range Calibration: Calibrate long-range weapons—Pulse Rifles, Bows, Trace Rifles—on Europa. Bonus progress in Lost Sectors.

Rewards

  • 25,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust

Long-Range Calibration requires you to defeat 100 enemies with long-range weapons. If you don't mind landing headshots, Bows are incredibly powerful and can make short work of most enemies. For faster clears, consider using Trace Rifles or Pulses. As for Lost Sectors, we recommend Perdition on Europa or K1 Revelation on the Moon. For weapons, consider using Trinity Ghoul or Prometheus Lens.

Dredgin' Up Victory

Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder Drifter

Dredgin' Up Victory: Complete Gambit matches. Earn bonus progress for wins.

Rewards

  • 25,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust

You'll need to complete quite a few Gambit matches to finish this challenge. Loses grant around 13%, and wins grant 20% per game. Worst case scenario, this will take eight games to complete. If you're looking to win, bring a good DPS weapon and consider getting a pre-made fireteam together.

Flourish Of Power

Destiny 2 Solar 3.0 Featured

Flourish of Power: Defeat Guardians in the Mayhem playlist with Super abilities.

Rewards

  • 25,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust

Eliminate 50 Guardians with your Super in Mayhem to finish this challenge. Since Mayhem has short ability cooldowns, this should be incredibly easy to pull off. Roaming Supers are typically the best for getting rapid kills, but use what you find comfortable. Just remember to complete this challenge whenever Mayhem is active.

The Fallen Fall

Destiny 2 The Devils Lair Sepiks Prime

The Fallen Fall: Defeat Fallen combatants in Vanguard playlists or strikes. Earn bonus progress for defeating tougher combatants.

Rewards

  • 25,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust

Fallen Fall requires you to defeat 200 Fallen enemies in Vanguard Ops. Majors and bosses grant additional progress, so a Fallen-focused strike should finish this challenge on its own. The Devils' Lair on the Cosmodrome is easily the best strike for this. A single run should net you around 200 kills.
