Another week of Destiny 2 means a new set of Seasonal Challenges has been released. These challenges serve as your main method of earning XP and Bright Dust, allowing you to earn Season Pass ranks and cosmetic items in the Eververse store. Some challenges also grant Insight, a currency needed to unlock certain Season of the Risen upgrades at the H.E.L.M.

This week's challenges are few but provide plentiful rewards. You'll need to complete another Legend PsiOps Battleground, Masterwork a piece of armor, stun Champions, and more. Let's go over all five challenges this week, their rewards, and how best to complete them.

Legendary PsiOperative II

Destiny 2 Cosmodrome PsiOps

Legendary PsiOperative II: Complete PsiOps Battleground: Cosmodrome on Legend difficulty. (Accessed via the H.E.L.M. Director node.)

Rewards

  • 25,000 XP
  • Insight

The Legend PsiOps playlist rotates each week, each mission being tied to a certain Seasonal Challenge. For PsiOperative II, the second map in the rotation is PsiOps Battleground: Cosmodrome. Whenever this mission is up, clear it on Legend to complete this challenge. Champions and Match Game are present, so plan your loadout accordingly. Having a premade group for this is recommended.

Light Reclaimer II

Destiny 2 Lucent Knight

Light Reclaimer II: Defeat Lighthoarders in PsiOps Battleground: Cosmodrome.

Rewards

  • 25,000 XP
  • Insight

Lighthoarders are glowing Hive Knights that spawn during a PsiOps Battleground activity. They spawn on both difficulty variants, and they're typically found in the first few minutes of the activity. Keep your eyes open during the barge escort section of the Cosmodrome PsiOps Battleground for this enemy. You only need to kill one Lighthoarder to finish this challenge.

Apex Armorer

Destiny 2 The Witch Queen Armor

Apex Armorer: Masterwork a piece of armor.

Rewards

  • 25,000 XP
  • 75 Bright Dust

Changing an armor's element does not complete this challenge. You must upgrade any armor piece to rank ten to finish this challenge. The rarity of the item does not matter.

For this challenge, you must Masterwork an armor piece—helmet, gloves, chest, boots, or class item. Masterworking a Legendary armor piece is recommended, as it is significantly cheaper than Masterworking an Exotic. You'll need five Enhancement Cores, three Enhancement Prisms, and an Ascendant Shard to Masterwork an armor piece.

You can obtain these materials from difficult Nightfalls and Trials of Osiris. Alternatively, you can obtain these materials from vendors or your Season Pass reward track. We recommend Masterworking a class item if you haven't already done so.

Absolutely Stunning

Destiny 2 Champion

Absolutely Stunning: Stun Champions.

Rewards

  • 100,000 XP
  • 300 Bright Dust

For this challenge, you must stun 50 Champions. This can be done in any number of activities against any type of Champion, but it must be done 50 times in total. To get this done quickly, we highly recommend that you use a Stasis subclass. Equip Duskfield Grenades, use Whisper of Durance, then boot up an activity with an Unstoppable or Overload Champion near the start.

The farm should look like this:

  1. Stun the Champion.
  2. Throw a Duskfield Grenade.
  3. Wait for the Champion to freeze.
  4. Stun the Champion mid-freeze.
  5. Repeat as fast as you can.

For whatever reason, freezing a Champion resets their Overload or Unstoppable status, allowing you to repeatedly stun them while in a Duskfield. Spec for short grenade cooldowns, and repeat doing this until the challenge is complete. If this sounds quite tedious to you, then don't worry about this challenge. Complete some Nightfalls or farm Master Lost Sectors, and you should finish this challenge rather quickly.

Done And Dusty

Destiny 2 Reckless Endangerment Done and Dusty Ornament

Done and Dusty: Acquire the Done and Dusty ornament for Reckless Endangerment.

Rewards

  • 100,000 XP
  • 300 Bright Dust

Done and Dusty is the Crucible ornament for Reckless Endangerment, unlocked upon reaching rank 16 with Lord Shaxx. You must reset your rank once to receive this reward; the rank 16 reward will otherwise be the Shotgun. Increasing your PvP rank requires you to play consecutive matches inside the Crucible. The more games you play back-to-back, the more rep you'll earn. Check out our Crucible Valor and Glory guide for a breakdown of rank requirements, rep tips, and more.
