A new week in Destiny 2 means new opportunities to earn XP and Bright Dust. This week's Seasonal Challenges are some of the toughest yet, requiring players to complete GM Nightfalls and Competitive Crucible. If you can rise up to the challenge, you'll be rewarded with the largest XP and Bright Dust bundles available this season.

Week seven of Season of the Seraph has seven Seasonal Challenges up for grabs, most of which are quite time-consuming to complete. The good news is the time-consuming ones are either retroactive or have a somewhat low barrier to entry. Let's go over how to complete all seven Seasonal Challenges and the rewards you can expect.

More Than A Weapon VII

Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph Ana Bray Speaking To Osiris

More Than A Weapon VII: Complete Week 7 of "More Than a Weapon." Defeat Hive and Fallen bosses anywhere in the system. Bonus progress for defeating them in Heist Battlegrounds and the Exotic mission "Operation: Seraph's Shield."

Rewards

  • Exo Frame Module
  • 50,000 XP

Complete the seasonal questline steps for "More Than a Weapon" to complete the first objective. For the boss kills, you'll need to defeat five Hive and/or Fallen bosses in any content. We highly recommend running "Operation: Seraph's Shield" for this Seasonal Challenge. It grants bonus progress, includes a Hive and Fallen final boss, and you'll be able to make progress on your Revision Zero Catalyst quests.

Heist Battlegrounds VI

Destiny 2 Heist Battleground Scorn Boss

Heist Battlegrounds VI: In the Heist Battlegrounds playlist, complete heists and defeat combatants with Season of the Seraph or IKELOS weapons.

Rewards

  • Exo Frame Module
  • 50,000 XP

This challenge is retroactive.

If you've been grinding seasonal weapons this season, you should have this finished already. If not, you'll need to complete 35 Heist Battleground missions and defeat 200 combatants with seasonal/IKELOS gear. All runs you've completed this season are tracked retroactively, so you likely need to do far less than 35 if you've been actively playing this season. Get your hands on the IKELOS SMG and get grinding.

Legendary Heists

Destiny 2 Heist Battleground Warmind Beam

Legendary Heists: Complete a Heist Battleground on Legend difficulty.

Reward

  • 25,000 XP

Complete the Legend variant of Heist Battlegrounds to finish this challenge. You don't need to clear it under a certain time limit or kill every Champion you see. As for difficulty, expect a slightly harder version of your traditional Heist but with no matchmaking. You can theoretically solo this mission with a good build, but we suggest you head to an LFG website or Discord server and get a fireteam together. With six like-minded players, this should be a cakewalk.

If you're wanting to solo this, here's what we recommend:

  • Hunter: Play an Arcstrider with Assassin's Cowl. With a One-Two Punch Shotgun, you should have no problems killing adds with your fist. Bring a good Heavy weapon for the final boss.
  • Warlock: Everything except Stormcaller works. Dawnblade has great DPS with Starfire Protocol, Voidwalker is nigh-unkillable with Devour, and Shadebinder can freeze entire rooms with Bleak Watcher turrets. Pick your favorite subclass and practice.
  • Titan: Use Striker with Heart of Inmost Light. Spam Storm Grenades until nothing is left. Use your Combat Style sockets for survivability, using Well of Tenacity or Well of Life to stay alive.

Seasonal Shaping II

Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph Exo Frame

Seasonal Shaping II: Earn levels with Shaped Seasonal or IKELOS v1.0.3 weapons.

Reward

  • 25,000 XP

Level a weapon from this season to L10 or higher to finish this challenge. Just about every weapon this season is great so pick your favorite. We recommend crafting Retrofit Escapade or the IKELOS SMG if you can't decide. Boot up Last Wish and enter the Shuro Chi checkpoint to make easy progress. The opening encounter in the Grasp of Avarice dungeon is a solid alternative, as are all Thorne World Lost Sectors.

Down To Size

Destiny 2 Exotic Glaives

Down to Size: Defeat targets with Trace Rifles, Glaives, and Linear Fusion Rifles in Gambit. Bonus progress for defeating invading Guardians.

Rewards

  • 50,000 XP
  • 150 Bright Dust

While playing Gambit, you'll need to land the following kill requirements with each weapon:

  • Trace Rifles: 100 kills
  • Glaives: 60 kills
  • Linear Fusion Rifles: 30 kills

Invaders are worth more progress, but you're better off focusing on PvE enemies. Trace Rifles are surprisingly strong if you can keep their ammo reserves filled up. We recommend using Wavesplitter for the Trace Rifle kills. Use a Void subclass with Echo of Instability to proc Volatile Rounds, buffing this weapon's damage considerably.

For Glaives, use any Glavie you please. This season's Judgment of Kelgorath is technically the best. Use the melee attack on your Glaive for easy progress.

Linear Fusion Rifle users should use Arbalest or Lorentz Driver. These are Special weapons and therefore are more ammo efficient. Use Special Finisher and aim for the head.

Fleeting Glory

Destiny 2 Competitive Crucible Banner

Fleeting Glory: Complete Crucible matches in the Competitive playlist. Earn bonus progress for wins.

Rewards

  • 100,000 XP
  • 300 Bright Dust

Competitive PvP got a massive rework this season and is much harder than before. Before you even attempt this challenge, grab the Competitive PvP quest from Shaxx on all your characters. This quest requires you to complete Competitive Playlist matches, granting you the Rose Hand Cannon as a reward. If you have this quest on all three characters, you'll get three copies of the weapon.

As for the challenge itself, don't take the Comp games seriously. Placement Series will cause your first seven games to matchmake you against a wide range of skill levels, some matches being far harder than others. Grab your favorite Pulse Rifle, play close to your team, and you can expect this challenge to complete after roughly 8-10 matches, wins speeding up the process. Grandmaster

Destiny 2 The Devils Lair Sepiks Prime Servitor Boss

Grandmaster: Complete any Nightfall strike on Grandmaster.

Rewards

  • 100,000 XP
  • 300 Bright Dust

Grandmaster is the ultimate difficulty level for Nightfalls, setting enemies at 1,620 Power Level. Bungie recently reduced the requirement of GM matches to -40 the recommended listing. For this season, you can attempt a GM at 1,580 Power or higher. We recommend attempting this at 1,595 Power, as this will maximize your Power advantage in this activity to -25 or contest difficulty.

GMs are incredibly difficult but far from impossible. Thanks to subclass reworks and Resilience changes in 2022, GMs have never been easier to complete. Get a fireteam together, make a good build, and play cautiously. Good luck.
