Returning from Season of the Chosen, Season 14 has its own number of Seasonal Challenges for players to complete. These challenges are your definitive source of Bright Dust, XP, and lore. You have the entire season to complete these challenges, but why not start now? Whether you want a headstart on upgrading your Splicer Gauntlet or Season Pass, you'll want to complete these challenges. Let's go over every Seasonal Challenge released during the first week of Season of the Splicer.
What Are Seasonal Challenges?
Seasonal Challenges are unique Triumphs that grant unique rewards upon completion. They provide a massive amount of XP, Bright Dust, and can grant free Legendary weapons and lore pieces.
Season of the Splicer has 79 Seasonal Challenges for players to complete. If you complete 75 of them, you'll be able to claim a Large Bundle of Bright Dust—granting 4,000 Bright Dust. Completing all 79 challenges will grant a unique emblem.
Hello, World
Hello, World: Speak to the Splicer Servitor and complete Path of the Splicer I, and defeat powerful Cabal anywhere in the system.
Bonus progress granted for defeating combatants in Override.

Path of the Splicer I is the story quest associated with Season 14. After you complete the opening mission upon login, you'll be given this quest from the Splicer Servitor at the H.E.L.M. The quest will guide you through the Override activity, explaining how the Splicer Gauntlet works.
Once the quest is done, you'll need to kill 150 powerful Cabal (orange bars or tougher). Majors and bosses give the same number of points. Battlegrounds and the Proving Grounds strike from Season of the Chosen are packed with powerful Cabal.
Maximum Override
Maximum Override: Complete Override missions and deposit Data Spikes as a team.
Bonus progress granted for each piece of Season of the Splicer armor equipped.

You must complete five Override missions and deposit Data Spikes during each Override mission to complete this challenge.
Data Spikes are orbs dropped by Champions inside the Vex Network. Kill a Champion, grab their Data Spike, then dunk it into the Terminal outside the Vex Network to gain progress. You'll need 40 Data Spike deposits, although wearing any armor from the Lightkin set (Season 14 armor) speeds this up greatly.
Ethereal Splicer I
Ethereal Splicer I: Collect Ether by playing Strikes, Gambit, Crucible, Public Events, and more.

Collect 660 Ether to complete this challenge. Ether drops from virtually every activity in sizable quantities. This will complete itself.
Sidearm Splicer
Sidearm Splicer: In Override, defeat opponents with Sidearms. Earn bonus progress for precision final blows.

Sidearm Splicer requires 200 Sidearm kills. Precision kills count as two kills. Use the new Cryosthesia 77k to freeze enemies solid, making it easier to fight majors and bosses.
Icebound
Icebound: On Europa, earn progress by completing bounties, patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors.

This is the same challenge as last season's Europa Seasonal Challenge. You'll need to complete ten bounties and complete activities on Europa. Lost Sectors are by far the fastest, granting 20% progress per run. Repeatable bounties from Variks contribute to this challenge, so most players can get this done in an hour or two.
Challenger's Aspiration
Challenger's Aspiration: Complete weekly playlist challenges.

Playlist challenges are displayed beside an activity on your Director map, granting Powerful or Pinnacle Gear upon completion. You'll need to complete three for this challenge.
Every weekly challenge on your map that's in a playlist will contribute to this challenge. If you're leveling your character, this challenge should passively complete itself.
Close-Range Calibration
Close-Range Calibration: Calibrate close-range weapons—Sidearms, Submachine Guns, Shotguns, Swords—on Europa. Bonus progress for rapidly defeating targets.

You can complete this challenge and Icebound simultaneously without much hassle. Run your favorite close-range weapons, then hop into the Perdition Lost Sector to farm hordes of Vex. This challenge requires 200 kills, although multikills grant substantially more progress.
Drifter's Chosen
Drifter's Chosen: Earn points by banking Motes, defeating Blockers, and defeating Invaders in Gambit.

Drifter's Chosen requires you to obtain 250 points by completing various tasks in Gambit. Each action grants the following point amount:
- Motes = 1 point each (no bonus for bulk deposits)
- Blockers = 10-30 points (based on damage and Blocker type)
- Invaders = 30 points
Damaging but not killing an enemy will not give any points, so be sure you're landing the killing blow on any Blockers or Invaders you face. Banking Motes will be your most reliable option, although sticking to your bank to immediately kill Blockers isn't a bad idea.
Sacred Scorcher
Sacred Scorcher: Defeat Guardians in Team Scorched. Earn bonus progress for charged detonations.

This challenge is tied to a rotating playlist.
Land 50 final blows in Team Scorched to complete the Sacred Scorcher challenge. Charged detonations (holding the fire button after releasing a shot) grants bonus progress. Get 100 mobility and some sort of movement Exotic before jumping into this playlist.
Vex Deletion Protocol
Vex Deletion Protocol: Defeat Vex bosses in strikes.
Rewards

Vex Deletion Protocol tasks you with defeating five Vex bosses in strikes. You can find Vex bosses in the following strikes:
- The Glassway (Europa)
- The Inverted Spire (Nessus)
- Warden of Nothing (Tangled Shore; the Vex Minotaur boss halfway through the mission)
The Inverted Spire is recommended, as it's much shorter and less difficult than the Glassway.
