The mystery of the Jade Rabbit is yours to discover. Just follow this handy guide.

So the Moon in Destiny 2 is haunted. That's a fact. But it's also got a bunch of little rabbit statues just randomly scattered about the place. Why? Nobody knows. We know the Jade Rabbit is a reference to ancient Chinese folklore where a rabbit lives on the Moon, but that's about it.

And the Moon rabbits have nothing to do with the Jade Rabbit Scout Rifle, although they share the same name. Just to be clear, these rabbits are different. For starters, they're evil looking - and they're also hungry.

Once you find a Jade Rabbit you'll be able to feed them a Sweet Rice Cake if you've got one in your inventory. They're a random rare drop on the Moon, so the only way to get them is to just keep doing Moon stuff. You'll get one eventually.

After feeding the Jade Rabbit statue, it will magically teleport to Sanctuary where they have a special room already set up beneath where you spawn-in. What is their plan? Nobody knows, but it can't be good.

There are 10 Jade Rabbit statues in all, with the first one already residing in Sanctuary. The remaining 9 will have to be located and fed in order to transport them home. Collect them all and you'll get an emblem - well, probably. We haven't gotten enough Sweet Rice Cakes to find out (yet).

1. Anchor of Light

Anchor of Light

Take a left after the land bridge, past the first fallen encampment, head to the larger building on the left with the radio tower. The Rabbit is on the top of the tower next to some computer equipment.

2. Hellmouth

Hellmouth

Head to the west side of the Hellmouth just across from the Hive keep. There's a ramp crossing a crack in the Moon - follow that crack instead of going over the ramp. You'll come across an abandoned astronaut encampment and another Jade Rabbit.

3. Archers Line

Turn right after getting to Archers Line and head to the big dome-like building in the back, just before the Temple of Crota. The rabbit is in the far room just behind the pillar.

4. K1 Logistics Lost Sector

K1 Logistics

First, head to Archer's Line and get into the K1 Logistics Lost Sector. Going left will take you to the Nightmare objective - keep going and eliminate the big Servitor, then in the building just across from where you end, the shield will drop. Sitting on a table on the right is the Jade Rabbit having a staring contest with a red cat statue.

5. Sorrow's Harbor

Head to the Scarlett Keep, but take the cobblestone path that is precisely perpendicular to the Keep's entrance. At the first circle, stop and turn left. Hidden inside one of the red pillars is the Jade Rabbit.

Head to the Hellmouth, then get inside the scary Hive building and start heading downward. Keep going until you eventually get to the Circle of Bones. Veer right and the Jade Rabbit is just beneath the upper floor level.

7. Chamber of Night

Chamber of Night

Head to the Temple of Crota in Anchor of Light. You'll recognize this spot from various Nightmare Hunts. Next head to The World's Grave and continue onward to a dark corridor. This is the Chamber of Night. Head down into the darkness until you reach a more lighted area with Hive and several stone pillars. On top of one of the pillars is the Jade Rabbit.

8. Shrine of Oryx

Shrine of Oryx

Head to Archer's Line to enter the vast underground Hive location in the Northeast Corner. Keep heading down to the Halls of Wisdom, then head right. Go down the long tubular hallway until you reach a large cavern broken up by a few rocky outcroppings. Behind the first one is the rabbit.

9. K1 Revelations

You'll need to get a firewall data fragment before you can even get this one, and you might as well double-up the Nightmare Bounty requiring the same. After defeating all the hive and gaining access to the rear room, you'll need to hand in the firewall fragment. As soon as you access the System Core vault, the Rabbit is on a chair in the back.
