Anticipation is building for Destiny 2: Shadowkeep as Bungie releases a new launch trailer earlier today. Dangers lurk beneath the moon surface, along with new sparrows, tanks, crucibles, and more. The lunar environment dominates as Bungie shows off locations around the moon, featuring the cold, harsh landscape of the pale surface. The trailer also shows what appears to be deep, cavernous locations carved out by some mysterious force long ago. It is unclear from the trailer if these tanks will be vehicles piloted by a player, or only a prop to advance the story. New Sparrow styles are present in the trailer as well, with players zooming into action. The update is one of the most substantial in the game for player customization. Some of the main points from the initial reveal of Armor 2.0 is the doubling of the amount of stats that players find on armor, allowing for up to three mods to be added to each piece of gear. Appearances will also have new customization options with armor ornaments, which are sure to expand over time with new DLC and expansions. The moves show guardians embracing their inner Power Rangers while spinning through the air to deal a devastating blow to an opponent. Players itching for more PvP combat will have a new crucible to play. A quick glance reveals that it looks nothing like the moon surface, which begs the question about where exactly this crucible takes place. Bungie is free to evolve the universe of Destiny as they see fit, and will work to deliver on the cosmetic customization options long demanded by the community. The reveal trailer for Shadowkeep is certainly exciting to watch, and in only a week players will see exactly how Bungie has shifted the direction of the game now that Activision is out of the picture.
