Destiny 2's Solstice event is back this year, complete with a new title for dedicated Guardians to earn. Flamekeeper is an event-exclusive title that requires you to complete many Solstice-themed Triumphs. As with most titles, you can also gild this title once you earn it.
Most of the challenges tied to Flamekeeper are quite straightforward, requiring you to play multiple games of Bonfire Bash or ritual content. However, if you're looking for a quick way of completing most challenges, you've come to the right place. This guide will cover all Triumphs tied to the Flamekeeper title and how best to complete them.
Updated July 19, 2023, by Charles Burgar: Flamekeeper is back this year with a refreshed set of Event Card Triumphs. We've updated this guide to include all new Triumphs tied ot the Flamekeeper title, and we've updated Triumphs that had their requirements adjusted this year.
Bashing Success
Bashing Success: Complete the Bonfire Bash activity.
Bonfire Bash is an activity exclusive to Solstice. Speak to Eva Levante to acquire your armor set, then start the Bonfire Bash activity in the Tower Directory. Finish the Bonfire Bash run to complete this Triumph. If you leave that Bonfire Bash instance for whatever reason, you can queue up the activity from the Tower's Directory map. Check out our Solstice 2023 guide for a brief overview of the Bonfire Bash activity.
Good Ignite
Good Ignite: Defeat 15 Ignition Carriers in the Bonfire Bash.
Ignition Carriers are minibosses you'll fight during the Bonfire Bash event, marked on your HUD with a white diamond. Defeat 15 of them to complete this challenge. Since you need to defeat 20 of them to spawn the final boss, it's possible to finish this Triumph in a single Bonfire Bash—provided you are the only one in the lobby. Otherwise, expect this Triumph to finish after a couple of runs.
Torch The Taken
Torch the Taken: Defeat 15 Taken in the Bonfire Bash.
Throwing enough Igniters into the Solstice Bonfire will spawn a few Taken on the edges of the map. Defeating 15 of these Taken will complete this challenge. So long as you're actively killing the Taken when they appear, this shouldn't take more than a couple of runs to finish.
Ash Tray
Ash Tray: Collect 350 Silver Ash.
Silver Ash is a currency that drops at the end of a Bonfire Bash activity. Wearing any Solstice gear will cause additional Ash to drop at the end of the mission, up to 20 Silver Ash if you deposit 20 Ignite orbs. Assuming you get 20 Ash a run, this Triumph will take 18 runs to complete.
Fuel For The Fire
Fuel for the Fire: Stoke 35 flames in the Bonfire Bash.
Stoking the flame in Bonfire Bash requires you to throw Ignition orbs at the bonfire, an item that drops from slain Ignition Carriers. Each orb you throw grants one point towards this Triumph, meaning you'll need to throw 35 Ignite orbs to finish this challenge.
Fuel For The Fire II
Fuel for the Fire II: Stoke 70 flames in the Bonfire Bash.
This is the same challenge as the original Fuel for the Fire, although the progress from that Triumph carries over here. As before, throw as many Ignition orbs into the bonfire as you can. You'll need to throw 70 orbs to finish this challenge.
Fuel For The Fire III
Fuel for the Fire III: Stoke 100 flames in the Bonfire Bash.
As before, grab as many Ignition orbs per run as you can. The past two Fuel for the Fire Triumphs carry over here, so you'll only need to deposit 30 more orbs. Completing this challenge also grants an Exotic Ship.
Like Wildfire
Like Wildfire: Defeat targets anywhere in the system. Defeating Guardians awards bonus progress.
Since this Triumph doesn't give a specific number, your best bet is to complete the other Triumphs first; this one will passively complete in the background. If you want to finish this Triumph quickly, you can either boot up a kill farm—Shuro Chi in Last Wish being a good choice—or any Crucible mode, seeing as Guardians grant more progress. Weekly rotating playlists and Rumble are your best bet for quick PvP matches.
Superlative
Superlative: Defeat targets with Super abilities.
Roaming Supers are your best pick for this Triumph. Any Supers that have a long duration are recommended, and pairing them with Super-enhancing Exotics is a good idea.
Here are some good roaming Supers for this Triumph:
- Hunter: Golden Gun - Deadshot with Ember of Combustion and Knock 'Em Down can kill dozens of enemies with ease.
- Titan: Sentinel Shield with Doomfang Pauldrons can remain active for over a minute when used properly.
- Warlock: Well of Radiance causes all weapon kills to count as Super kills. If you prefer a more active Super, Stormtrance with Crown of Tempests lasts for quite some time.
Forged In Flames
Forged In Flames: Defeat opposing Guardians in any activity.
Forged in Flames requires you to defeat ten Guardians during Solstice 2023. The Guardian kills can be done in Crucible or Gambit. We recommend the Crucible since that's a dedicated PvP activity. If you don't enjoy PvP in Destiny 2, wait for Team Scorched, Mayhem, or Momentum Control to appear in the rotating playlist.
Hand Lighter
Hand Lighter: Defeat targets with Hand Cannons, Shotguns, and Rocket Launchers.
Equip your favorite Hand Cannon and farm any PvE activity. If you want to get this done quickly, we recommend farming the opening encounter to Grasp of Avarice, the Shuro Chi encounter in Last Wish, or the Extraction Lost Sector in the Throne World.
Burn Them Down
Burn Them Down: Defeat bosses anywhere in the system.
You'll need to defeat 40 bosses to complete this Triumph. The bosses can be from any activity, including Vanguard Ops, seasonal content, dungeons, raids, and Gambit. We recommend you focus on other Triumphs first. By the time you've finished most title requirements, you should be close to completing this Triumph.
Raking The Coals
Raking The Coals: Complete playlist activities to earn Silver Leaves.
Completing Vanguard Ops, Crucible, or Gambit will finish this Triumph. We recommend farming Vanguard Ops since they contain matchmaking and no PvP elements. If you have a good build, Gambit games are a good option since games are fairly short with a good team. We only recommend Crucible if you enjoy PvP or a short TTK rotator playlist is active—Momentum Control, Team Scorched, etc.
Dare To Dream
Dare to Dream: Complete runs of the Blind Well or Dares of Eternity to earn Silver Leaves.
Blind Well is an activity you can find in the Dreaming City. Dares of Eternity grants 25% progress per run, so we recommend farming that to finish this Triumph. Equip your favorite Heavy weapon, be sure to obtain the Starhorse's Favor buff, and enjoy infinite Heavy ammo for the entire match.
Brightfall
Brightfall: Complete Vanguard Ops or Nightfalls to earn Silver Leaves.
Brightfall is one of the tougher challenges to complete, requiring you to complete around a dozen Vanguard Op missions. If the weekly Nightfall mission is short, consider farming the Adept variant of the Nightfall to make this farm slightly faster.
Fires Of Competition
Fires of Competition: Complete matches in Crucible or Gambit playlists to earn Silver Leaves.
Similar to Raking the Coals, you'll want to focus on playing ten Gambit matches or quick PvP playlists like Momentum Control or Mayhem. If no quick PvP playlist is active, you can farm Gambit. So long as you have a good PvE build and a good Heavy counter to invaders, you should be able to complete multiple Gambit games in a short period.
A Spark In The Dark
A Spark in the Dark: Complete rounds of Altars of Sorrow or Salvage to earn Silver Leaves.
You'll need to either complete Altars of Sorrow waves or Salvage runs to finish this Triumph. We recommend Altars of Sorrow. It's faster, tends to be active whenever you visit the Moon, and grants some unique weapons when fully cleared.
In The Hot Seat
In the Hot Seat: Complete activities on Neptune to earn Silver Leaves.
Neomuna activities in this case include patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors. Unique activities on this destination do not count, notably Terminal Override and Vex Incursions. We recommend you farm Lost Sectors to get this done quickly. Thrilladrome seems to be the shortest Lost Sector of the bunch.
