As promised, the big Stasis nerf has finally arrived in Destiny 2. Last week, Bungie discussed plans for the third (or fourth) Stasis nerf that finally brings the subclass back into line with Destiny 2's other subclasses, and especially when it comes to the game's PvP game modes.

In general Stasis freeze for non-Supers has been reduced to 1.35 seconds and damage to frozen targets has been greatly reduced. Stasis slow no longer reduces weapon accuracy and no longer reduces class abilities such as Icarus Dash (with the notable exception of Iconic Blink, but that's going to be fixed in a future patch).

Coldsnap grenades have been reworked to no longer track targets after their initial acquisition, making them far easier to dodge. Titan Cryoclasm now requires the player to sprint for 1.25 seconds before being able to activate, and Hunter's Withering Blade has had its slow, damage, and tracking greatly reduced.

There's way more of course, and for the full list, you can head to Bungie's website.

The new Vault of Glass raid has also received some attention in the latest patch. Several unintended methods for killing Atheon have been fixed, such as "tethering Supplicants as they self-destruct" or going through the Future Venus portal and killing Atheon there before the encounter even starts. The Prometheus Lens cheese for breaking Gatekeeper shields has been fixed as well, so expect to see fewer Prometheus Lenses in raid groups now.

Star-Eater Scales is also in the patch notes once again. After receiving a hefty nerf that actually turned out to be an accidental buff, Bungie has reduced the maximum potential damage of Star-Eater Scales to 70% at eight stacks rather than 90%. That said, they've also reduced the previous buff somewhat to provide a 55% damage buff at four stacks, which almost matches the initial 60% damage buff the Exotic provided at the beginning of Season of the Splicer.

A few other random fixes are in there too, so read all about 'em. And check out the latest edition of The Firing Range Podcast where a Bungie dev revealed an impending PvE buff to Hand Cannons, Scout Rifles, and Machine Guns.
