We are less than two weeks away from the Destiny 2 showcase on August 24, but even though we haven't forgotten about it, Bungie is still going to take every opportunity to remind us of the date. Y'know, so we don't miss it.

Today's reminder comes in a very unusual form: a music box. Destiny 2 streamer Ms Kenneth recently posted a short video to Twitter showing Bungie's gift in action.

To start, the box has the August 24 Destiny 2 Showcase on the outer shell along with the specific start time (8:40 AM Seattle Time) on the inside. The words "survive the truth" imply something ominous is on its way, but we'll likely have to wait until August 24 to find out what.

Then Ms Kenneth starts actually winding the music box, treating us to what is almost certainly the opening theme for The Witch Queen expansion. It doesn't sound like any other song currently in Destiny 2, and neither is it Savathun's Song, the viral diddy that has been popping up in almost every season since the arrival of Shadowkeep.

We're likely to find out more on August 24 when Bungie hosts its Destiny 2 showcase. Or we might have to wait until later in 2022 when The Witch Queen actually arrives.

In the meantime, there's still Season 15 around the corner. Just yesterday, we found out that a bunch of old and underused Exotic armors are set to receive some pretty substantial buffs next season, while Warmind Cells are going to receive an equally substantial nerf.

A couple of Elemental Well mods will get a boost, a brand new mod will slot into your legs to reload your stowed weapons, and next week we'll get an update on what those Hand Cannon, Scout Rifle, and Machine Gun buffs will actually look like.
