We’re just two days away from The Witch Queen arriving in Destiny 2 with new Exotics, a brand new location, weapon crafting, and the long-awaited Void 3.0 subclass revamp. And to get everyone into Witch Queen on day one, Bungie is boosting everyone’s light level to 1350.

Destiny 2 community manager Dylan Gafner took to Twitter this morning to remind Guardians that they’ll start Witch Queen at level 1350 regardless of how they ended Season of the Lost. Even if you’ve taken a break from Destiny 2, we’ll be bumping up the power of your gear to get you straight into the Witch Queen campaign on Tuesday," wrote Gafner.

Bungie actually laid out the specifics of this move back in January when they announced changes to blue Engrams. Everyone will start at a new power floor of 1350 and then make their way up to the new soft cap of 1500. Most Engrams you earn or gear you find (including blues) will come with +1 to your level until reaching the soft cap. After that, only power rewards will provide additional levels to the power cap of 1550. And after that, end-game activities such as Nightfalls, Raids, and Trials of Osiris (among others) will provide pinnacle levels to the pinnacle cap of 1560.

Bungie has warned us that power and pinnacle sources are expected to change with the arrival of Witch Queen, so we’ll have to check the Star Chart for where those power and pinnacle sources will be on Tuesday.

Although some Guardians were hoping that Bungie would just get rid of the power grind entirely, they did at least provide a fast-track for players skilled enough to complete The Witch Queen's campaign on the new Legendary difficulty. Doing so provides Guardians with a set of equipment at 1520, giving them a healthy jump on the power grind.

The Witch Queen arrives on every platform Destiny 2 is played on February 22.
