A new trailer for Bendy and the Dark Revival has been released, confirming a delay into the next year. Since the game's initial announcement in February, updates have been sporadic, with a couple of trailers and pictures throughout the year. Although originally announced for a fall 2019 release, players will be returning to the studio in 2020.

Bendy and the Ink Machine is a horror title taking place in a fictional animation studio. It has a dedicated fanbase. As for the game itself, fans enjoy the unique atmosphere, and backstory of a cartoon character brought to life as an "Ink Demon." Fans have been highly anticipating Bendy and the Dark Revival. Although the wait will be a bit longer, the game is looking to be a quality followup.

This week, Joey Drew Studios released a new trailer for Bendy and the Dark Revival. The footage shows Audrey and the return of Allison Angel. A new ink monster is also featured, as well as the heart of something. Check out the trailer below.

Based on the footage, it appears Audrey and Allison Angel will meet up. Interestingly, Bendy himself has not appeared in the flesh, unless the monster at the end is a new form, but likely not. Visually, the game looks promising, probably better than the first one. Sadly, not many story details have been revealed. Mike Mood, co-creator of Bendy, said in February The Dark Revival is neither a prequel nor sequel. What that means exactly probably won't be revealed until the game launches.

Bendy and the Ink's Machine's atmosphere and cast of characters remain a big discussion point among fans. It is unfortunate the next game isn't coming until in 2020, but if it means a better experience, it will be worth the wait. In the meantime, two books on the franchise were released this year. There's the Joey Drew Studios Employee Handbook, and the Dreams Come to Life novel. Dreams Come to Life takes place before the first game, and provides a look into the studio right before things took a darker turn. If fans haven't already checked these out, they should provide a good holdover until The Dark Revival launches.
