Devolver Digital has a... let's call it a "rich history" when it comes to hosting digital presentations. Even when E3 was still a thing, Devolver was putting on some pretty outrageous presentations, but things went off the chain once Devolver didn't need to put on a live performance. In 2020, Chief Marketing Officer Linda Masters showcased coming games alongside a literal slime monster, while last year's presentation was eventually sold as an NFT. As a joke, I think.
This year's presentation is looking to continue Devolver's tradition of utter insanity by letting No More Heroes creator Goichi "Suda51" Suda host while video coferencing from inside a giant mecha suit. If that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, Just watch the video below and all will become clear.
Devolver's presentation will start June 9 at 3 PM PT (6 PM ET), shortly after Summer Game Fest starts with its own live presentation. Devolver says it'll have "at least four video game announcements" to share during the stream. And with Suda51 already confirmed as host, I can't help but think one of those announcements might come from him.
