Diablo Immortal was confirmed to be launching globally at the last financial earnings release held by Activision Blizzard this year. Not much has been said about the game since December 2020 where a technical alpha was launched, however.

A trailer was released last year in July that showed off the classes along with gameplay, giving a glimpse of the ferocious firey Diablo and his hordes of denizens. They look tough, but they were being obliterated by wizards, crusaders, demon hunters, and monks alike. The necromancer even saw its return alongside the barbarian.

In the earnings call, Activision Blizzard did reiterate that Immortal is "on track for global release this later this year" despite no release date being set in stone just yet. But, it should be noted that it is in its second phase of testing right now. With that being said, it's not the only Diablo experience underway this year, so fans have plenty to feast on.

Diablo 2 Resurrected, a remake of the original, is underway for 2021 as well, although - again - there's no release date in stone as of writing this. Resurrected aims to create "an authentic remaster of people's childhoods" that captures the magic of Diablo 2 with modern-day, visual fidelity.

After that, there's Diablo 4, although that could be anywhere from next year to 2025, so it's best not to hinge too much hype on that game as of yet. It could be a while away. For now, though, there's plenty to play, from Diablo 2 Resurrected to Immortal to yet another dive back into the third game.
