Being the 2018 Gamers’ Choice Awards winner for Favorite Male Gamer of the Year certainly seems to have its perks.

As Apex Legends continues to gain speed at a meteoric rate, popular Twitch streamer and Apex Legends partner, TimTheTatman, may have brought to light a potential new character in the works at Respawn Entertainment.

In response to Respawn CEO Vince Zampella’s tweet when Apex Legends hit 10 million players in 72 hours, Tim tweeted, “How many rts for a thiccc tattooed character,” which is likely in partial reference to the physical features of the popular streamer, even though Tim's current main is tatted big-guy Gibraltar.

Josh Medina, Associate Producer at Respawn Entertainment, replied to Tim, stating, “Tim we got something in the lab coooking that you'd might like.. @Teanah has been pushing for this as well lol.” @Teanah being Tina Sanchez – an Apex Legends Game Developer and Producer at Respawn.

Does this mean we might be getting a new Apex Legends character based on TimTheTatman himself? Or perhaps the character will take on more original physical attributes that feature accentuated curves. Either way, it seems tattoos would definitely be in the plans.

If such a Legend were to make his or her way to the battle field, they would need to distinguish themselves from Overwatch’s Roadhog, who certainly fits the description of a “thicc, tattooed” character. But if anyone is up to the task of improving upon the best elements of the battle royale genre, it’s certainly Respawn.

With Apex Legends seemingly coming out of no where, Respawn has clearly created something special as it continues to gain players and accolades from personalities throughout the industry. To add to the excitement, the free-to-play battle royale title has at least a year’s worth of content planned, including new levels, player skins, and even new Legends.

While there likely won't be any content reveals, Tim - along with 48 other Twitch streamers - will be taking part in the Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Challenge this week, with teams competing live for $200,000 in prizes. The two-part competition will take place on Feb 12th and 19th on Twitch.

Of course, it is too early to know for certain what Respawn has up its sleeves in terms of new character details, but one thing is for sure: We would be thrilled to take on the legendary role as one of Twitch’s most popular streamers. Man bun obviously required.
