Did You Know Gaming's YouTube channel has been hacked and used to promote cryptocurrency. At the time of writing, trying to access Did You Know Gaming's YouTube profile will instead take you to a channel promoting Ripple, a crypto and blockchain company. All traces of Did You Know Gaming's branding have been removed alongside its videos, with the profile name now set to @ripplecryptocoin. Of course, this means that Ripple now has access to DYKG's 2.39 million followers, although it's not clear how this company came into possession of the account. Working on getting it back. If anyone knows someone who can help, let us know."

In a follow-up tweet, Did You Know Gaming revealed that its videos have been removed from viewing publicly, although it's likely that they're still present on the account.

DYKG isn't the only account to be caught up in this hack. Super Beard Bros was temporarily locked out of its own channel, although this appears to have been restored by now. Yet there's still no word on when DYKG's videos will be available to the public again.

On the off chance that DYKG's content cannot be restored, Liam Robertson - who has created numerous videos for the account - has confirmed that he has backups ready to go if needed. He also adds that he believes YouTube is aware of the matter, and is looking into it. With any luck, the account and all of its videos will be returned to their rightful owners soon.

TheGamer has reached out to Ripple for an explanation as to how it seemingly got access to DYKG's channel. Ripple hasn't commented on the matter publicly, so it's not even clear if it was behind the account rebrand. It's also not clear who the original hacker of either account was, although it's possible that they are separate from Ripple, and were selling stolen accounts to unsuspecting businesses. We will update this report as the situation develops.
