DNA digivolution, known as Jogress evolution in Japan, is when two or more Digimon combine to form a new Digimon. This concept was first introduced in Our War Game!, the second act of Digimon The Movie, and was a crucial factor in the Arukenimon arc of the Digimon Adventure 02 anime series.

Most of the time, Digimon born from DNA digivolution are at the Ultimate or Mega level due to the Digimon that combined to make them being at Champion, Ultimate, or Mega level themselves. Not all DNA digivolutions make sense, but there are still a handful of great ones.

10 Chaosmon

bancholeomon, darkdramon, and chaosmon

Chaosmon, the Unique Digimon, is the DNA digivolution of BanchoLeomon and Darkdramon, and is an unstable Digimon with a very short lifespan because it shouldn't exist. Similar to Omnimon, the faces of each Digimon that is a part of it can be seen on its arms.

Chaosmon is never crucial to the story of any Digimon anime series but does appear as a minor antagonist in Digimon World: Next Order. Chaosmon has two alternate forms as well, Chaosmon Valdur Arm and UltimateChaosmon, the latter of which is so powerful that any Digimon of the rookie-level or below can't even get near it.

9 Ordinemon

ordinemon, ophanimon falldown mode, and raguelmon

Ordinemon is the DNA digivolution of Ophanimon Falldown Mode and Raguelmon, who first appeared in the fifth Digimon Adventure Tri film, Digimon Adventure Tri: Coexistence. In the movie, Ophanimon Falldown Mode forces DNA digivolution with Raguelmon after seeing Kari's immense grief due to thinking her brother Tai has died.

Ordinemon is said only to appear after the Digital World has been overwhelmed by chaos and is a sign that it is coming to an end. Its large wings are made of a miasma of pure negative emotion, and flapping them will spread it, ending all life once the world has been covered.

8 Boltboutamon

boltboutamon, myotismon, and piedmon

Boltboutamon, the DNA digivolution of Myotismon and Piedmon, is said to be made of malice data from the Dark Area and is one of the most despicable and malevolent Digimon in existence. Its ultimate goal is to eradicate light and have darkness consume the world.

Boltboutamon is also an antagonist in the Western remaster of Digimon World: Next Order and was exclusively created for it. However, it is also present in the Japanese version of the remaster. Boltboutamon's name comes from two masks associated with Italy, the Volto and the Bauta, due to the mask it wears.

7 Huanglongmon

digimon sovereign and huanglongmon

Huanglongmon is the DNA digivolution of the four Digimon Sovereign or four Harmonious Ones, Azulongmon, Baihumon, Ebonwumon, and Zhuqaiomon, respectively. While this Digimon didn't appear in Digimon Tamers or Digimon Adventure Tri like the Digimon who make it up did, it did have a role in Digimon Fusion, serving under the antagonist Digimon Dorbrickmon, who can digi-fuse to become Dorbrickmon Darkness Mode One.

Unfortunately, Huanglongmon ceases to exist after Dorbrickmon Darkness Mode Two is defeated by ZekeGreymon. Being a combined version of such important Digimon, you would think Huanglongmon would've gotten a better or more significant role in other series besides Digimon Fusion.

6 Shakkoumon

angemon, ankylomon, and shakkoumon

Shakkoumon, the Mutant Digimon, is the DNA digivolution of Angemon, and Ankylomon was the last proper DNA digivolution to appear in the Digimon Adventure 02 anime series. Unlike other DNA digivolutions, it has more characteristics of Angemon rather than an equal amount of attributes from Angemon and Ankylomon.

Shakkoumon is said to have existed since the times of the Ancient Digital World, where it would help save the world from utter destruction. Although it never happened in the anime series, Shakkoumon can digivolve into Slashangemon or Vikemon, neither of which look much like Angemon or Ankylomon, continuing Shakkoumon's weird trend.

5 Silphymon

gatomon, aquilamon, and silphmon

The Animal Digimon Silphymon is the DNA digivolution of Gatomon and Aquilamon and was the second DNA digivolution to appear in the Digimon Adventure 02 anime series. Silphymon's visor helps it track opponents by using the information detected from the radar on its ears. Silphymon contains characteristics from both Gatomon and Aquilamon but is also a humanoid Digimon similar to Angewomon, although it is more beast-like than angel-like in terms of appearance.

Silphymon can digivolve into Valkyrimon, which was never shown in the Digimon Adventure 02 anime series, but is obtainable in several Digimon games, starting with the Japan-exclusive Wonderswan game Digimon Tamers: Brave Tamer.

4 Paildramon

paildramon, exveemon, and stingmon

The Dragon Man Digimon Paildramon is the DNA digivolution of ExVeemon and Stingmon. It was the first DNA digivolution to appear in Digimon Adventure 02 anime series, making it the first to appear after Omnimon. Like many other DNA-digivolved Digimon, it's easy to determine which parts came from ExVeemon and Stingmon.

However, the machine gun-like cannons on its hips that it uses for its signature Desperado Blaster attack are a new edition. Paildramon also has a more insect-like virus-type counterpart Dinobeemon, and can digivolve into Imperialdramon Dragon Mode and change into Imperialdramon Fighter Mode or Imperialdramon Paladin Mode, depending on circumstances.

3 Millenniummon

kimeramon, machinedramon, and milleniummon

Millenniummon, the Composition Digimon, is the DNA digivolution of Kimeramon and Machinedramon or Kimeramon and Moon=Millenniummon. Although it appeared in both the Digimon Adventure reboot anime series and the Digimon BattleSpirit fighting game, it first appeared in the Japan-exclusive Wonderswan game Digimon Adventure: Anode/Cathode Tamer in 1999.

Millenniummon is said to be impossible to defeat, but in reality, it's just extremely difficult to defeat due to having power so immense that it completely contorts the Digital World. What's even more terrifying is that it can digivolve into ZeedMillenniummon, an Evil God Digimon capable of destroying all worlds and timelines.

2 Mastemon

agewomon, ladydevimon, and mastemon

The Mega level Angel Digimon, Mastemon, is the DNA digivolution of Angewomon and Ladydevimon, who first appeared in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth. Because it is the ultimate fusion of an Angel Digimon and a Dark Angel Digimon, it is said that it has command over both types of Digimon and can travel through space-time to gather those Digimon from other worlds to help it when needed.

Depending on its opponents, Mastemon can either delete them using its Dark Despair attack or send them to another dimension using its Chaos Degradation attack. Its Holy Desire attack is also capable of destroying evildoers.

1 Omnimon

Omnimon, or Omegamon in Japanese, is a Warrior Digimon and the DNA digivolution of Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon who first appeared in Digimon Adventure Our War Game, but also appeared in Digimon Adventure 02: The Revenge of Diaboromon, Digimon Adventure Tri, Digimon Tamers: Battle of Adventurers, Digimon Data Squad, and the Digimon Adventure reboot anime series.

It is also a member of the Royal Knights and the first Digimon to have the power of the Omega inForce, which increases its combat prowess and potential, making it much harder to defeat. Omnimon can also change into even more powerful forms, such as Omnimon X or Omnimon Merciful Mode.
