Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be the first brand new game in the franchise after over a decade. As a direct sequel to Crash Bandicoot: Warped, Crash, and Coco go on a new journey to restore the multiverse after Neo Cortex, Nefarious Tropy, and Uka Uka expose a rip in the fabric of time after escaping their space-time prison. Traditional elements of the game make a return to the series as well as some new features for old and new players alike. It follows after the success of the remake trilogy that was released for the Playstation 4.

Dingodile Crash Bandicoot 4

During PlayStation's State of Play presentation, developer Toys 4 Bob showcased some new gameplay of the new Crash Bandicoot. During the video, some info was dropped that Dingodile would be joining Crash and Coco as one of the many playable characters in the sequel. The former villain made his first appearance in Crash Bandicoot: Warped back in 1998. According to the Playstation’s blog, Dingodile has hung up his flamethrower-rocket launcher gadget in order to open his own diner. However, he has returned for some unfinished business as he tries to find his way home after being sucked into another dimension.

Just like Neo Cortex, players will be able to play as the dino-croc hybrid in all the levels and alternate timelines. With his flamethrower acting as a vacuum, Dingodile can suck up the TNT barrels and shoot them in order to blow up anything that stands in his way of getting home. His unique style of gameplay is one of many other features that players can try out in the new game. There’s also an N.Verted mode where one can play the game backward that changes the art style of the levels as well as new skins for the characters to try on.

Look out for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time when it launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 2.
