Here's a cool little Dishonored tidbit: if you possess this one NPC immediately after he chugs some poison, a custom game over screen will be prompted as you subsequently die.

One of the powers main protagonist Corvo can harness in the Dishonored games is Possession. As the name suggests, this allows him to take complete control over an NPC for a brief time as he projects himself into their shoes, so to speak. However, doing so obviously means that Corvo is subject to the same dire fate as his unlucky possessee, which includes perishing after imbibing some poison.

As pointed out in a Reddit post last week, the first Dishonored game has a neat little feature. At one point in the game, Corvo has the option to poison one of his enemies as part of a mission, but you can make things a little more interesting whilst doing so. If you wait for the victim to take a swig of the deadly cocktail, then immediately use Corvo's Possession power to evict the guy out of his body and take his place, Corvo's soul will perish as the body does.

Doing so will prompt a unique game over screen that informs you that you have, indeed, been poisoned. This replaces the generic game over screen which usually pops up when you die which reads, "You have met your demise."

This is cool, but when you dive a little deeper, you can appreciate this detail that much more. According to another Redditor, this sequence is particularly unique:

For anyone who hasn’t played, to get this you need to find every skill point in every level up to this and spend them all on the same skill to be able to possess him. Almost no players will naturally do this so it’s very obscure, and shows how Arkane put the next level of detail into their games

This video demonstrates the whole sequence in action.
