Disney and Marvel are going to put on a show next month. Just announced today, the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase will provide fans with updates on up and coming games, new content for existing games, and maybe a few surprises too.The Disney & Marvel Games Showcase will take place on September 9 at 1 PM PT (4 PM ET). It will be livestreamed from D23 Expo 2022, where host Blessing Adeoye Jr. will be speaking from the Premier stage. Disney confirmed "new reveals" for Disney Dreamlight Valley, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, although we should note the brief trailer also included footage from Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Disney Mirrorverse.Related: You Should Be Very, Very Wary Of Disney Dreamlight ValleyDisney’s press release also promised a "sneak peek at the upcoming Marvel ensemble game from Skydance New Media," which was announced last year. All we know is that it’ll be a triple-A game with a "completely original story and take on the Marvel Universe." It’ll also feature Star Wars Battlefront 2 voice actor Janina Gavankar in an undisclosed role.

It’s interesting that we’re still going to receive updates on two of the more high-profile delays in Disney’s roster. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was recently pushed back to Ubisoft’s 2023/2024 financial year, and Marvel’s Midnight Suns was delayed indefinitely just last week. Frontiers of Pandora in particular was noted to be in "rough shape," according to insider Jeff Grubb.

Disney's livestream will come just three days after the early access release of Disney Dreamlight Valley, so we can expect a large portion of the show to be devoted to upcoming content for Disney's latest mobile title. And we can likely expect the same for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which has been steadily adding content since its release in April.

Tune in on Disney’s social media channels September 9 for more.
