One of the best things to see on the internet is the sheer volume of fan appreciation for the iconic franchises and companies that make up our pop culture society. The fast-paced nature of the internet allows fans of Disney to watch their favorite musical numbers at a moment’s notice, while fans of superheroes can read previews for upcoming issues and discuss their theories about future films in a superhero franchise. The ability of the internet to connect and interact with fans of the same franchise is truly quite a special thing. One way the internet has shown this connectivity and appreciation for their fandoms has been to create truly amazing fan art.

Fan art allows fans to show their interpretation of certain characters, shows, film and other amazing properties. Yet things can get truly entertaining and engrossing when fans not only create this fan art, but mash up two different characters from two different properties to create a one of a kind new character. One thing in the fan art community that we see a lot of is the mash-up of Disney characters with various superheroes from DC and Marvel Comics. Getting to see Snow White as Wonder Woman is quite an impressive piece of artwork to behold.

So today we are going to share with you the 30 best fan art pictures of Disney characters as both heroes and villains. These images are truly amazing and will showcase the best talent the internet has to provide.

29 We Are Stitch

via Ranker

Art by 13nin - DeviantArt.

Ohana may mean family, but family has no place in the life of this next new character, Venom Stitch.

That’s right, artist 13nin on DeviantArt created the perfect matchup of Disney character Stitch from Lilo & Stitch and added the infamous symbiote suit Venom to the character, making one of the most powerful forces of nature within the small Hawaiian islands. This mashup of two aliens turned heroes (and in Venom’s case, villain and anti-hero), makes this one truly destructive pairing.

28 Hair Slinger

via Ranker

Art by briannacherrygarcia - DeviantArt.

One of Disney’s biggest hits this past decade has to be Tangled, the reimagining of the classic tale of Rapunzel, the girl with the never-ending hair. The film found the taken princess with the long hair traveling with a known criminal and discovering both her past and true love. Her hair held great power, and as Marvel has taught us, great power comes with great responsibility. What if that lesson were taught to Rapunzel by Spider-Man, and she became the friendly neighborhood hair slinger? That would be quite a sight to see.

27 Mr. Incredible Smash!

One film that has recently taken the world by storm is the long-awaited sequel to The Incredibles. The film explores the inner workings of a family with superpowers, and how they manage that family while saving the world.

The father of the family is none other than Mr. Incredible, a hero with super strength who was the leader back in the day, and now is a middle-aged father of three.

Leaving that life behind could make anyone mad, so seeing him as Marvel’s The Hulk is easy to see.

26 Iron Buzz

via Ranker

Art by bruno-sousa - DeviantArt.

One thing that always made perfect sense to combine was the space hero of Toy Story fame Buzz Lightyear of Star Command with the powerful billionaire turned superhero Iron Man, aka Tony Stark. The space hero of Buzz would combine perfectly with the sophisticated armor created by Mr. Stark, creating what I can only assume would be called the Iron Buzz. This artwork from bruno-sousa is perfectly able to capture the look for this newfound hero.

25 The Little Phoenix

via Ranker

Art by bryan-lobdell - DeviantArt.

This next combination is a mixture of one of many of childhoods' most beloved heroes mixed with one of Marvel Comics most powerful villains and forces of nature in the galaxy. That combo is that of The Little Mermaid’s protagonist Ariel, the daughter of King Triton and fan of the surface world, and Marvel’s Jean Grey in her Phoenix persona, a powerful entity of galactic origins. Imagining Ariel donning the Phoenix Force herself is quite a powerful image.

24 Southern Cubs

via Ranker

Art by vixiearts - DeviantArt.

This next combination brings together the lovable pair of cubs Nala and Simba from Disney’s The Lion King with the on and off again romance between mutant heroes Rogue and Gambit. Simba was the prince to the Kingdom ruled by his father, whose best friend was Nala, who would go on to be his love interest. Their relationship mirrors Gambit and Rogue perfectly, the flirty friendship turned romance showing in this amazing artwork by artist vixiearts on DeviantArt.

23 A Handsome Juggernaut?

via Ranker

Art by bryan-lobdell - DeviantArt.

This year’s Deadpool 2 saw the shocking and fun reintroduction to longtime fan favorite X-Men villain Juggernaut. The villain has only been on screen one other time, but his fame runs deep in the online community, and so seeing this villain emerge this year was a well-deserved nod to the audience. So this next combination is very relevant, as longtime fan favorite Disney villain Gaston from Beauty and the Beast sees himself transformed into the infamous Juggernaut.

22 A Princess’s Transformation

via Ranker

Art by bryan-lobdell - DeviantArt.

This next mashup sees one of Disney’s most popular princesses and transforms them into a monstrous villain of mutant origins in the Marvel universe.

We’re talking about Jasmine of Disney’s Aladdin being transformed into a powerful mutant god of untold power known only as Apocalypse in the X-Men universe.

Giving this good-natured hero a dark turn as the world-shattering Apocalypse is a unique and interesting choice by artist bryan-lobdell from DeviantArt fame.

21 The Old Boy Wonder

via Dorkly

Art by Artist Abe - DeviantArt.

This next piece of artwork brings together two very different dynamic duos. Artist Abe from DeviantArt has brought together the heroes of Disney’s Up, Carl and Russel, with the heroes of Gotham City themselves, Batman and Robin. Imagining the grumpy old man Carl taking on Russel as his ward and jumping across rooftops is quite a hilarious image to behold. All they need is a few balloons to make a new Batmobile and they are ready to fight crime.

20 Brave Titans

via Pinterest

This next piece of artwork is pretty cool, as it not only combines the world’s of Disney and DC Comics, but adds a cameo appearance by DreamWorks as well.

Here we see the odd romantic couple of Beast Boy and Raven from Teen Titans fame, as portrayed by Merida, star of Disney’s Brave, and a guest appearance by Hiccup from Dreamworks How To Train Your Dragon franchise. Seeing these two in a relationship is even stranger than Beast Boy and Raven.

19 Frozen Defender

Art by lapidoth45 - DeviantArt.

One of the coolest mashups we’ve come across has to be between one of Disney’s newest Princesses, Elsa of Frozen fame, with the ice queen of DC Comics and longtime villain turned anti-hero. While they have gained fame for her turn on The CW’s The Flash played by Danielle Panabaker, Frozen has given Elsa a major push towards icon status in our pop culture society. Seeing these two ice powered women forming one incredibly powerful character is something to behold.

18 Winter Robin

via Dorkly

Art by Rick Celis.

This next piece of art comes from artist Rick Celis, who has imagined two heroes with dark pasts coming together to form one powerful new vigilante, and mixed them together with Flynn Rider of Tangled fame as well. This is a mixture of DC’s Robin, Marvel’s Winter Soldier and Flynn himself, forming one long-haired, gruff and serious hero who traverses multiple universes to stop the enemy at any and all costs. It’s quite a mashup.

17 Mad Queen

via Pinterest

One of the most unique mashups of these characters has to be Elsa of Disney’s Frozen and Harley Quinn of the DC Universe. Elsa is a Princess turned Queen with ice powers who fears she may accidentally hurt those she loves with her uncontrollable power.

Then you have Harley, a former psychiatrist turned obsessed love interest to the clown prince of crime, The Joker.

Imagining Elsa becoming Joker obsessed and using her powers for the villain’s twisted uses is creepy and interesting to see.

16 A Whole New World

via Heroic Girls

Man Jasmine in this article is used quite a lot to fuse with villains, isn’t she? Jasmine, as you may or may not know, is the Disney Princess from the film Aladdin, showcasing bravery and a care for those less fortunate for themselves that many aspire towards. Yet in this next piece of art, we see Jasmine turning once more to the dark side, becoming the mutant villain Mystique, a shape-shifting mutant who works with Magneto against humanity.

15 Sibling Rivalry

via Ranker

Art by briannacherrygarcia - DeviantArt.

Siblings are a common theme to explore in stories. Whether it’s two siblings coming together despite their differences to save the day or two siblings torn apart by rivalry or family secrets and turned into enemies, the sibling trope is widely used by both Disney and Marvel regularly. This next piece of art by artist briannacherrygarcia on DeviantArt imagines Frozen’s Anna and Elsa as the Marvel hero and villain team of Thor and his adopted brother Loki, turning the tide in the sister’s story in a whole new direction.

14 Captain Duck

via Ranker

Art by lenlenlen1 - DeviantArt.

This next piece of art by artist lenlenlen1 on DeviantArt is quite a rare sight to behold. One of Marvel’s greatest heroes is none other than the captain. Steve Rogers was a small wannabe soldier who took on the super soldier serum and became the greatest warrior during the war, becoming a bonafide hero.

He would go on to lead the Avengers in modern days.

Yet the last Disney character you’d expect to don the suit would be Donald Duck, the loud and easily angered duck who plays second fiddle to Mickey.

13  An Incredible Family

https://z3dd.deviantart.com/

Art by z3dd - DeviantArt.

The most natural combination we can think of is combining the lovable Incredibles family to merge or mashup with the likes of the Fantastic Four, known as Marvel’s superhero family and some of the smartest heroes in the universe. The adventure, science-driven heroes have a knack for getting into trouble, but seeing Mr. Incredible given Mr. Fantastic’s powers of being able to stretch into impossible shapes, Elasti-Girl becoming the Invisible Woman and The Thing emerging into the family is quite the mashup.

12 Merc With The Hair

via Ranker

Art by splendidriver - DeviantArt.

Everyone’s favorite mutant turned anti-hero Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, get’s the Disney treatment as Disney’s Rapunzel and Flynn Rider of Tangled fame merge to create this one of a kind hero. Artist splendidriver of DeviantArt fame has brought the rough and tumble, pop culture and fourth-wall breaking hero Deadpool into the world of Disney, showing off the long golden locks of Rapunzel and the classic Flynn Rider shirt and heroic nature in this one of a kind mashup.

11 Doc Duck

via Pinterest

Now, this is more like it, Disney fans. The loudmouth duck with rage issues is back with a fiery vengeance. Donald Duck is as iconic to Disney as his pal Mickey is, known for his explosive temper that results in him babbling incoherently and steam rising from his face.

Yet what would happen if he got the intelligence, scientific wonder, madness and biomechanics arms of Otto Octavius, aka Spider-Man villain Doctor Octopus?

He’d become Doc Duck, a monstrous villain of untold possibility.

10 A Magneto Goof

via Disney Cast

The master of magnetism himself Magneto is considered to be one of the most powerful mutants in all of history. A war survivor, the boy who grew into a man hated humanity, considering them inferior to all mutants. He was bent on using his abilities and natural leadership to lead the Brotherhood of Mutants into global conquest on several occasions, only able to be stopped by the X-Men. Yet in this hilarious piece of art we see the powerful mutant given the Disney treatment, with everyone’s favorite goof Goofy given the villain’s raw power.
