Many people decided to hop into Disney Dreamlight Valley because of the sheer amount of Disney characters that you can hang out with in the game. The developers have done a great job of giving their players a sense of nostalgia by taking them through different worlds for specific characters.

Moana is one of the characters who decided to leave Dreamlight Valley because she forgot the place after being affected by The Forgetting. After unlocking the Dream Castle, you can head inside the door that will take you to her island, where you can work towards getting her back.

How To Get Moana In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Dreamlight Valley Moana Door

After collecting all the Royal Tools, you can help Merlin unlock the Dream Castle once you have 2,000 Dreamlight. Here, in the beginning, he will give you an option to open one of the three doors at the bottom for free.

These belong to Wall-E, Moana and Maui, and Remy.

If you decide to go for a different door in this section, you'll have to get rid of the thorns in front of Moana's door in the bottom middle using 3,000 Dreamlight, which can be extremely hard to achieve early on in the game.

Once unlocked, the After The Storm quest will start with Moana's face on it. Head inside the door to witness a cutscene featuring her and Maui on an island, as they've just had a fight.

When the cutscene finishes, you can talk to Moana and start your journey to bring her back to the valley.

Dreamlight Valley Dig Spot And Wood

She'll tell you about wanting to go out to the sea and explore. At the same time, she'll also tell you that her boat is broken and needs a few materials to fix. You will require eight Wood and three Silk Web, which you can get in the following ways:

  • Wood can be found lying all over the beach of the island. This will have a sparkling effect, making it hard to miss them even far away.
  • As for Silk, this is where you'll need one of the Royal Tools that you acquired before entering the Dream Castle. There will be multiple dig spots across the beach,h symbolized by the broken effect on the sand. You can dig these with a shovel and find the Silk Web in three of them.
Dreamlight Valley Maui With Quest Icon

After giving Moana both the items, she'll ask you to find Maui and ask him to get rid of the debris blocking the boat. You can find him deep within the island when you follow the green path upwards on the right side of Moana.

He'll have a pink quest icon on top of him where you can continue this quest. Maui is known to have a lot of pride, and he'll ask you to learn more about him from Moana before asking him for help.

Upon returning to her, you'll learn three things about the big guy that you have to answer in a quiz when you return to him. Here are the answer to all the questions he'll ask:

Questions

Answers

What is my official title?

Maui, shapeshifter, demigod of the wind and sea, hero to all!

What did I, Hero to all, bury to make coconut trees?

Eels!

What power do I get from my fishhook

Shapeshifting!

Dreamlight Valley Clear Debris

After answering all the questions correctly, Maui will give you an upgrade to your Royal Pickaxe, allowing you to clear the small green debris blocking Moana's boat. There are quite a few of them, so the next step is to go in front of the boat and get rid of them all, and this will cost energy.

The same debris can be found all over Dazzle Beach, and you're required to finish this quest to get rid of the smaller ones in the area.

Main character traveling on a raft in the sea with Moana in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Once the debris is cleared, you'll be able to head out to the sea with Moan; it's a date then. Here, she'll give you a Strange Map Memory that you can memorize by going to your inventory and interacting with it.

Once you do that, Moana will also remember what was in the memory. Talking to her will give you four different areas that you can go to to find a light source.

You need this to be able to sail into the mist since it's too foggy. Head over to Coral Reed, and you'll find a lantern sitting beside the boat. You can go to the other three areas if you want to, but there'll be nothing there.

Dreamlight Valley Fishing With Moana

Once you have the light, you can head to the mist with Moana, where you'll see a golden puddle in the water. Use your Royal Fishing Rod inside the puddle to get an Albino Tuna.

Once you have this, you can talk to Moana, and she'll agree to go to the valley with you.

How To Build Moana's House

Dreamlight Valley Moana Home

Once you finish the quest and the character agrees to return to the valley, you have to build them a house where they can live. For some characters like Moana, there is a special requirement for the houses depending on their habits and what they're known for in Disney.

For Moana, you need to place the house near the sea. This can only be done after you unlock the Dazzle Beach, which can, in turn, be opened after putting the Orb of Friendship in the pillar through the main quest.

It will still cost you some Dreamlight to do so.

Another reason to place her house near the sea is that Maui's house can only be placed inside water as well. Scrooge McDuck will take 2,000 Star Coins to build her house, after which you'll be able to bring Moana to your valley.

How To Unlock Moana's Boat

Dreamlight Valley Moana Beside Broken Boat

Once she's in the valley, another quest called Fixing The Boat will begin. During this quest, you can help Moana fix the boat, so she can go out to the sea and live her normal life. This will open a deposit station where she'll deposit free fish for you to take every once in a while.

This deposit station isn't really that good in the beginning, and you have to upgrade it a couple of times with Star Coins to increase its capacity and decrease the time it takes to get one fish.

After three-four upgrades, this can be a decent source of Star Coins.

To fix it, you'll require a lot of Seaweed and Soft Wood. The latter can simply be picked from the ground in Plaza and Peaceful Meadows, while the former can be found on the beach, or it can be fished from the water in the areas where there are no puddles.

Moana Friendship Rewards

Dreamlight Valley Moana Friendship Rewards

You can upgrade Moana's friendship level up to ten, and every level will unlock a new reward that will remind you of her. After reaching level two, you can assign one task to her.

If you hang out with Moana while performing that task, she can increase your luck and give you many other buffs.

The best way to increase your friendship is by talking to her daily and gifting her the things she likes. There are three featured gifts that will give you extra EXP every day as well.

You can also gain a lot of friendship by assigning her a task.

Here are all the rewards you can unlock from her friendship, apart from the final quest after reaching friendship ten:
