Disney and Lucasfilm are teasing the reveal of a new Star Wars video game in their new merchandising campaign. First spotted by GameSpot, the official Star Wars website recently launched the "Bring Home The Bounty" campaign which shows off the range of Star Wars products that are yet to be revealed throughout the rest of 2021.

Each reveal has an image of a hologram that is related to whatever product is going to be revealed that day. Most of the holograms simply display headshots of different Star Wars characters, but the hologram for the reveal on December 14 is an image of a generic controller, hinting that a Star Wars video game will be revealed this December.

More importantly, December 14 is only a handful of days after Geoff Keighley's annual Game Awards event on December 9. The Game Awards usually brings with it a host of new video game announcements, and its possible that a new Star Wars game could show up there, with further details released by Disney and Lucafilms on December 14.

As for what could potentially be announced, there have been rumors surrounding several studios possibly working on Star Wars-related projects. We recently had the news that Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls developer Quantic Dream could be working on a Star Wars game, much to the dismay of everyone here at TheGamer.

It's also possible that this new reveal could be a sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order, although it's fairly unlikely. EA has recently confirmed that it will continue "investing" in the series and the game's commercial success since launch back in 2019 could mean that Respawn is working on a sequel.

It's also possible that Disney and Lucasfilm's reveal might not be a brand new product at all, but a further look at an already announced title instead. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake was announced during the big PlayStation Showcase earlier this year and it's possible we could see more of the game this December.
