Divinity isn't known for being an easy RPG strategy game by any stretch, and we could use all the help we can get. That's why we're sharing everything you need to know about the infamously easy to miss Armour of the Eternals, an item that can make or break your adventure.

10 What Is The Armor Of The Eternals?

As the name states, the Armour of the Eternals is a piece of chest armor. It's branded as Common within the game, but it's actually a bit challenging to get. You won't find it in any location randomly, inside of just any chest. This item is special because you need to find a recipe for it first and then craft it yourself once you've gathered all the necessary ingredients.

While we don't know much about the armor itself, we know that it's probably incredibly old, because the Eternals are beings that existed a long, long time ago. If Fane is in your party, he'll be glad to tell you all about them, which might shed some light on this armor piece.

9 Why Get It

There are tons of really good pieces of armor in Divinity: Original Sin 2. Naturally, the game just flows in a way that eventually you're likely to come across a piece of gear that's ideal for your character and slightly better than the one you already have. This changes in every playthrough, depending on who's in your party.

While it might sound like a hassle to find a recipe and then craft a piece of armor rather than just go around looting, it's actually worthwhile. The Armour of the Eternals is considered one, if not the best armor in the game, due to its special effects and what it can provide for the player.

8 Finding The Recipe

The first task at hand is to find the recipe, which will tell you all the items you need. Even if you have the items, you won't be able to craft the armor, so make sure you get this one. In Reaper's Coast, you'll eventually walk into Blackpit Mines. Near one of the statues of teleportation where a totem for a Shrieker is located, teleport across a broken wooden walkway and enter the doorway.

Inside, a glowing monument will await you. Use one source point at this monument, and it will gift you with the recipe. Keep in mind that the condition here is that one of your characters can use teleportation to get across the gap and enter this tiny room, but by this point in the game you should have all the skills and items needed for it.

7 Ingredient: Eternal Plate

The first item needed for the recipe is something called the Eternal Plate. If you look at the map of Blackpit Mines, head over to the southeastern most corner of the area. There, you should find a room where a bunch of strange-looking objects are located. On the table at the very back of the room, you'll notice a plate, which is what we're looking for.

For some reason, the name of the plate doesn't actually appear when you activate item names within the room. This is what makes getting this armor a bit tricky, because it looks as though this item isn't something worth picking up. However, it should be easy enough to spot in the middle of the table due to its round appearance.

6 Ingredient: Eternal Artefact

The next ingredient needed to complete your brand new armor is called the Eternal Artefact. This item is very easy to miss if you're solely focused on getting to the main location of your mission, so keep your eyes open for it. Still in the mines, head to the Ancient Temple marker on your map, which should be a yellow flag indicating an important quest area.

In order to access the temple, you'll engage in a battle against Magisters first, and then need to blow up a wall. Before you enter the main area of the temple, notice the small chest located on the right side of the stairway leading upwards. The chest will be called a reliquary, and inside you should find the Eternal Artefact.

5 Ingredient: Metal Scraps

Next up, you'll need to get some metal scraps for your piece of chest armor. Chances are that if you're a particularly devoted collector of random items, you might already have some in your inventory. However, if you don't have any and you'd rather not leave the mines or wait for too long to make your brand new armor piece, there's a few lying around in select locations.

Located just opposite of the table where you found the Eternal Plate, you'll notice a small wooden box on the ground, next to three barrels. Inside, you should be able to find some metal scraps to complete your piece.

4 Ingredient: Source Orb

The final ingredient is a Source Orb, and although it might seem unlikely to find one here, there's one located within the mines if you take the time to look hard enough. Head back in the southern parts of the mines where the yellow flag indicates the excavation area. Here, you probably fought another Magister and some Voidwoken, and received a key.

The key is to a room that's located southwest of the excavation area. It has one bed, a few bedrolls on the ground and a chest at the very back of it. Inside the chest, you'll find the Source Orb needed for the armor.

3 Alternative Locations

If for some reason you don't want to pick up the items inside Blackpit Mines, you can find some of them in other locations later on. An Eternal Plate can also be found in the Flooded Temple, right side of the entrance and hidden behind a pillar. In the Academy, within the library you will also find an Eternal Plate tucked inside a desk. Keep in mind that as of now, no other locations are known for finding an Eternal Artefact.

The Source Orb and the Metal Scraps don't necessarily need to be picked up in the mines. It's possible to find both of them at a vendor's and purchase them. Metal Scraps should be the easiest and cheapest to buy or find randomly, and the Source Orb costs up to 500 gold.

2 Crafting

Once you have all the items, you can craft your armor by clicking on the recipe. However, before you do so, you need to be aware of the fact that this armor will scale according to your character's level. In other words, if you wait until later on in the game to craft it, it will be much more powerful.

With that in mind, you may want to wait until the final act of the game before you craft the Armour of Eternals, since it will serve you much better overall and won't become obsolete immediately.

1 Stats And Requirements

The armor piece grants you with significant bonuses: +20% Air Resistance, +0.2 Movement and depending on your level a boost to your maximum HP. It gives you immunity to being Stunned and Shocked, which is undoubtedly its best attribute. The armor will also inflict Stunned on an enemy on contact. 10% of melee damage is also reflected on your enemy as air damage.

The armor also has two empty slots you can fill. However, the trap here is that it requires your character to have Strength 13 in order to be worn. If you're doing a solo run, you may want to keep that in mind before you craft the armor.
