To unlock this interesting and complex character, you just need to complete the Story mode with any of the 15 already playable fighters. This mode consists of nine chapters that tell you the story of the character you chose.

There aren’t any difficulty options here, but you shouldn’t worry too much. Your enemies will be easier to deal with than in other modes.

When you begin a story, a comic-style scene will introduce your character dealing with a specific situation. Eventually, they will meet Nemyr, a golden angel figure that will speak about your Will and its relation to many things in the world. Nemyr will ask you to go and find other people that also have a strong relationship with their Will.

Therefore, you’ll start your journey, going through different locations and meeting half of the game’s roster in particular circumstances. These encounters will play out in many dialogues scenes, with your character moving and making gestures, in a less static way than other fighting games usually do.

You can skip the current lines of dialogue by pressing the confirm button every time there’s one, and you can also select the option “Auto” to have them displayed in a “default” manner. However, you can't skip whole scenes.

Whether you want it or not, you’ll battle each main character you meet, taking their Will when you defeat them. This will make you grow your own Will, which allows the progress of the story.

This will repeat until you reach Chapter 9. In this chapter, you’ll find Nemyr again, who will take your strengthened Will and summon Lost Warrior by accident — it seems that he’s a threatening presence to your world. The last fight will begin, and you’ll face this unknown warrior.

How To Defeat Lost Warrior

Fortunately, this might not be a hard fight as it seems. While Lost Warrior has a variety of unique moves, like the summon of special swords, a grab that can make you change positions with him, or interesting movement options that grant him a good amount of freedom, he won’t be as aggressive as final bosses usually are in the genre.

You should select whatever character you want to complete the Story mode, but it’s worth mentioning that picking a fighter with strong zoning resources like Launcher, Troubleshooter, or Hitman will give you an advantage. This is because Lost Warrior doesn’t block too much and most of his abilities require you to stay at a medium to close distance to him.

Once you defeat Lost Warrior, you’ll see the epilogue of the story and the credits will start rolling. Also, a message in the main menu saying that the character has been unlocked will be waiting for you.

After completing the Story mode, the character you used will have a “Clear” marker, and you’ll be able to replay any specific chapter that you might want.
