Someone in Dr Disrespect’s chat said it was insane to donate to a millionaire, so the Doc had to correct them in true Doc style.
If you've seen any of Dr Disrespect's streams, then you know he's a bit of a braggart. It just comes with the character: Dr Disrespect is basically if a pro wrestler stopped flipping off of tables and started streaming video games on Twitch. It's a good gig, and the Doctor is able to pull down quite the income from it.
Which does make it a little crazy to think that hundreds of people are donating their hard-earned cash to Dr Disrespect whenever he streams. You wouldn't walk up to Brad Pitt and give him a fiver, so why do it to Doc?
Someone brought up this absurdity in Dr Disrespect's most recent stream, and he addressed the issue in trie Doc fashion.
"Donating to a millionaire? Do you know how wrong you are? Don't be so stupid," said Disrespect, before offering his correction. "It's 'multi-millionaire.' Multi."
Given Dr Disrespects persona, it can be hard to tell if he's telling the truth, we're inclined to believe him. Nailbuzz has estimated Disrespect's net worth at around $3.5 million, but that was back in January of 2019. It's almost certain to be much more than that now, given the Doc's annual income and lucrative sponsorships from G Fuel, Turtle Beach, and Razer.
The Two-Time also has his own line of merchandise called the Champions Club which released a line of streetwear for the winter 2019 season. There's even a TV series in the works based on his character. If that takes off, that'll be even more millions to Dr Disrespect's name.
But why do people donate to streamers when they’re already so rich? Kotaku looked at this phenomenon in-depth a little while ago, and it mostly came down to people not really caring about the wealth disparity. They just like to support the entertainment they want to watch, regardless of whether or not that entertainer already has a lot of money.
