Dr Disrespect has reappeared in an interview with PC Gamer, and although he had a lot to say, he had curiously little to share about his Twitch ban.

Dr Disrespect was banned from Twitch on June 26. Since then, it's been endless speculation as to just what got the good Doctor canned. As one of the platform's leading streamers and one that had just recently signed an exclusive deal, the sudden ban seemed to come completely out of left field.

It also left us all in the lurch. Doc made just a single tweet to tell us that he had no idea why he was banned and has been radio silent since then.

Until now. In an exclusive interview with PC Gamer, Dr Disrespect opened up about the ban and what his plans are for the future.

"While it's unfortunate that I'm off Twitch, we're definitely working behind the scenes on what a Dr return might look like," the Doc said. "In terms of the specifics around that, we're not interested in exclusive at this point. We're exploring our options and, honestly, just can't wait to get back into character soon."

Those options might mean streaming on YouTube or Facebook, or he might just stream on his personal championsclub.gg website.

Doc also disputed what is widely believed to be the events that led up to his ban. In the final moments of his last stream on Twitch, Doc seemed to glance at his phone and then get choked up by what he saw.

"I was in a moment where I was just sort of taking in what's going on in the world, you know?" Doc explained, referring to both the Black Lives Matter protests and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. "And at that particular moment, I think I was just kind of going through a, you know, like, when can we break this funk of 2020? It was just me being real on stream."

When asked if Twitch had provided Doc with any explanation, he confirmed that he'd had no contact with Twitch since the ban. Asked if it had anything to do with his seeming endorsement of dangerous coronavirus conspiracy theories, Doc was prevented from answering by his publicist who said "we're getting really close to dangerous territory here."

"We don't know why Twitch banned him," explained Doc's publicist, "and there is no formal warnings or reprimand on record. That's all legal is going to let him say."

As for the future, Doc seems to be readying some sort of comeback, although the details of which remain a mystery. "I'm working with my creative team, the graphics, going and taking like the whole Doc 3.0 experience to the next level, and so that's where my focus is now."

Expect "new cinematics focused on pushing the envelope" to herald Doc's return. Wherever that will be.
